Dr. Mark Franciosa, MD

Initially I was given a PA. All she cared about was I doing drugs. Dr. Franciosa was the PCP that she should have referred me to. He is a kind and knowledgeable doctor. I trust him.

Dr. Franciosa seemed more interested in trying to push my buttons than actually help me. He started his first session by asking me when my last genital herpes outbreak was, when I said it was a year and a half ago, he replied condescendingly, saying, "isn't that great?" What was I supposed to do as a single, 38-year-old woman who never had the opportunity to have a family because I caught an STD 18 years ago, clap my hands and say "yay?" After that, he began a phony discussion about the sanctity of marriage before requiring me to come in for a follow-up late at night a week later, where he brought a med student in so he could inform me that he wouldn't be continuing a medication I have been taking for over a year. I walked out on Dr. Franciosa and I suggest you do as well.

He is exactly what you would want in a doctor. Caring, knowledgeable, gives you the time you need for your appointment - doesnt look at his watch to make sure you get only the 10 - -15 minutes. More doctors should be like Dr. Franciosa.
