Dr. Freeborn was excellent. He was awesome, explained what things meant and was very thoughtful from the first consultation, surgery, post-op follow up, and rehab etc. Huge thank you to him and every single staff member from front desk staff members to MAs, schedule coordinator/MA Anne, PA-C Jennifer, ARNP Melissa NP in his office. He is a great surgeon and I can't thank him and all the spinal surgery team staff enough. Thanks to him and his staff, I am excitedely ready to go back to work soon.

Took forever to get appt then saw his assistant for most of the appt before he came in for 5 minutes and told me to make another appt . which added a couple mlore weeks . Came in for 2nd appointment only to be told he wanted to consult with some other surgeons . Several weeks and phone calls and still haven't heard anything . going to find someone else . Wasted 3 months in pain and now have to start over

Dr. Freeborn came back from his vacation to fuse 2 disks on my neck. He and his staff were amazing, I had the operation within 24 hours - it was scary but there was no time to waste. He and his staff explained clearly the risks and probably outcomes, so I understood how serious this was. The operation went very smoothly and I think I am already improving. Dr. Freeborns dedication, skills and team I feel saved me as they went above and beyond. I will always be in their debt.

Dr. Freeborn performed a spinal fusion on me one year ago. The surgery was a complete success. The pain is gone, and the pressure is relieved from the nerves allowing the muscle tissue to be rebuilt. He fused 3 vertebrae, and installed a plate. I was back to work after 2 weeks of recovery time and I have no idea the plate is in my neck unless I see it on an x-ray. I was apprehensive prior to the procedure, but Dr Freeborn and his staff assured me things would go good, and they did.

Dr. Freeborns staff is a shinning example of his expertise, not only a Dr. but as a manager has well. Cara Cook the ARNP, AGACNP-BC was on point and without hesitation brought up my information and examined me. When Dr. Freeborn came into the office he knew just where to look and what to do. The exam found the probable cause of my pain (very hard pain) and forwarded me to the best possible treatment at first. I am very satisfied with this office and all the supporting staff as well.

Dr. Freeborn was able to keep me active when several Drs in the greater Seattle area had told me to resign myself to living in a wheelchair the rest of my life. He is continually working with me to keep me active for over seven years now. He is very confidant in his abillities which is what gives me confidance in his abillity to take exceelant care of me medical needs.

Dr Freeborn is amazing. He is always worth the wait because he also gives you the time you need. I had L3-4 fusion in December and have been basically pain free since then.No drugs required 2 weeks after surgery. He was able to explain different ways to perform the same surgery and picked the least invasive. He is empathetic. I tell him he works magic! So very different from a prior fusion surgery in 2009. His staff are delightful and caring, available as needed by phone. I highly recommend ...

Dr Freeborn performed two surgeries on me. A fusion in 2013 because my first surgery with dr Nora lasted a month before my disc reherniated back into my nerve root causing my severe sciatica to reoccur. So the fusion at l3 to l4 caused my disc below to herniate causing again severe left leg pain. So he performed a third surgery to trim the disc away from nerve root. It lasted a month and again it slipped back causing severe leg pain he totally ignored me after that even after Neg. PT results.

Dr. Freeborn listens carefully to your description of the problem, orders the appropriate diagnostic tests, and then provides concise and clear diagnosis of the problem and its potential remedies - from least invasive to surgery. His professional skills are exceptional, and he resolved a 3-year long increasingly severe problem I had with a 45 minute outpatient operation with no side effects, no need for any serious medication, and with same day and later followups. I recommend him highly.

Dr. Freeborn told me about the spondylolisthesis problem in L4/L5 in 2012 and that it would get progressively worse and may require fusion. Dr. Freeborn performed the fusion surgery -XLIF - in 2016 and the the pain was gone upon my first walk out of bed that night. It is a year later and I am pain free and feel great.

I am a cancer survivor (5 years 6/20161) I feel qualified having been to many many physicians in a range of specialties. I was referred by Dr. Stout and was terrified of having a 3 level neck fusion. What an MD - skilled, kind, listens and saved my neck. I was able to return to work in under 5 weeks. He and Melissa Payson and their assistant Anne Boydon are top notch. Approachable, human, caring and highly skilled - it doesn't get better than that. I am so lucky to have them look after me!

I am a patient and also a practicing physician. I'm delighted that my experts recommended me to Dr. Freeborn and his staff. This surgeon initially recommendedicated an epidural steroid injection for my cervical stenosis rather than an operation. When the first injection failed we tried it again and that also failed. I'm very happy with that level of proof that I needed to have surgery. We planned an operation and a second one if the first failed. Every person involved in my care was super!!

After suffering with pain for 3 years, and barely able to walk, I went to see a neurosurgeon. I was told I needed extensive surgery that would require 3 months of being in a back brace. I went to see Dr. Freeborn for a second appointment. He agreed with the problem I had, but told me he could help me with much less invasive surgery. After my surgery I was walking with a normal gait and no more leg pain later the same day. I highly recommend Dr. Freeborn. (And his staff is wonderful too!)

I was referred to Dr. Freeborn and I have had 2 visits and I have not met him yet. I met his Physician's Assistant. I found this ok for the first meeting but after I had an MRI and came back for the results to be discussed I STILL did not meet Dr. Freeborn.I had several questions I wanted to have answered by a person who has performed surgeries but instead I got a person who went to school for half the time. The answers I received I could have gotten from Web MD Signed Extremely Disappointed.

Dr. Freeborn was extremely attentive to both my needs (a bulging disc in need of surgery) and my son's (a 4 year old bored in the doctors office). I go in for surgery with him later this month and can't wait to see how great I feel after he helps me. He is insanely nice and very knowledgeable in his practice of spinal care. His staff was extremely friendly as well, treating my son like royalty during our visit while I got X-rayed & examined. You won't be disappointed if you see Dr. Mark Freeborn.
