The PA Sean seen me today.
Very professional, informative and articulate. When finished I knee exactly what needs to be done and how to get there. If I could only see them for all my medical needs. Thanks and keep up the good work.

Stay Away From this Doctor,
I was in severe continuous pain , home bound/bed bound. He drug me through the mud from January- August 2023. Finally in August after I initiated the phone call to their office I was told I was referred to Emory Health care. Why did it take him 8 months to decide to refer me. To Emory. Went to Emory and they have amazing facilities and doctors, I am finally making progress. P!!! On Giovanini! So much more to say but not enough room to do so.

Horrible Bedside Manner
I was seen for injuries I received due to a car accident. I provided my MRI and he never even looked at them. Basically told me it was my iliac nerve and he told me to stand up and then proceeded to shove his thumb into my spine! I literally almost fell down if it wasn’t for my husband holding me. The doctor then said that I just needed a shot and that it would take care of my pain. I have L5 S1 compression of a nerve as well and he didn’t seem to care. Overall a horrible experience and I will never go back!

ACDF surgery patient
I am a RN and after an injury, I required a cervical fusion to stop the neuropathy and pain. Frequently I actually care for these patients in the clinical field so it was enlightening to be a patient. After physical therapy failed, the decision was made to have surgery. Within a week, I was able to feel the towel in my hands again, and improvements have been made daily. After one month, my incision is barely noticeable. I am now released to go back to work. I sincerely want to thank Dr. Gio and his team for their care, competence, and compassion. Thank you!

Unprofessional//Non-Caring//No Compassion
Had L4/L5 spinal fusion. Went back for post op appt and he asked how my brace was treating me. A) He never gave me a brace and I was in pain B) After 3 months more of pain I had an MRI where the Dr Noted hardware abutting the nerve. I went to Dr. G and he got loud and defensive and told me that he knows better that that Dr. and then he stormed out of the room and sent his PA in. I am now 8 years post-op and have been dealing with pain worse than when I went to Dr G to resolve. I am currently seeking assistance with repair and or removal of the work Dr G did and with no compassion at all from start to finish.

Dr G performed laminectomy from L4 to S1 relieving all of my sacroiliac pain. Excellent job with no pain at all post-surgery. Having this surgery was easier and less painful than having a tooth filled.

Dr Giovannini made a determination about care based upon records that were 1 1/2 years old and with out a physical exam. I had completely different symptoms than I had during the prior records and had been referred by two other physicians to him. This was after his PA saw me and recommended an actual plan of treatment. I’m shocked and disappointed by this.

Very disappointed in his office support team. Referral not processed 3Weeks appointment by telemedicine. At appointment time could not connect thru his system. Called his office and Samantha knew I was a basket case over it. No caring , no compassion for the situation. no answering phone call or return, had to go to office , to make sure records were completed prior to visit . Corinea was only professional . My records was put in another Dr's computer. Dr Metesker. Office manager is not interested in care of pt. Only to tell me to take my referral and take it some where else. I am a 35yr ret RN , never seen anything comparable to this set up and treatment. This group does not enhance Dr Giovanni's support team and undermines his expertise. This is a virtual office Sam said. Understanding I had absolutely no connection with phy. So I was a virtual pt. Who was to say except office manager I am the god awful pt and Sam etc.,etc . So crushed by this, Dr will probably not know.

Dr Giovanni damaged my abdominal wall during a posterior l5-s1 fusion. I have had to suffer for years. I suffered a stretch traction injury and scarring from a bar across my anterior pelvic. Finally i will be seeing a plastic surgeon to try to repair the physical damage he has caused. I wasn't able to carry children because of the scarring he caused and i couldn't work because i now suffer chronic constant pain. It's not my back, Doc!!

Dr. Giovanini is a great surgeon. He did an SI Fusion on my mom. I have nothing but great things to say about him. He is very professional and his staff is very helpful. I would recommend him to anyone that needs back surgery. The only thing is his manager needs some training to be a manager and on how to talk to people. I was leaving a post op appointment when I overheard how she was talking to the Medical Assistants there. He lucky he still has anyone working for him with the way she’s running things.

Had the left SI joint fused 6 months ago. I feel AMAZING!! Dr G did an excellent job. We had rocky relationship in the beginning, but he knows what he is doing and my quality of life improved. He is doing the right SI joint in December. Listen everybody’s worry about bedside manner and how the doctor interacts with you. My whole thing is he knows what he’s doing he’s a very busy man and I don’t give a crap if he comes in and doesn’t say two words to me I walk out after surgery feeling 100% better. People need to get over he’s not your friend he’s not your confidant that you can go and explain your whole life here’s your doctor your surgeon and he’s there to make you better. 100% best surgeon for me!!

I have Epilepsy and do not recall my visit with this man. I was just informed that a $350.00 bill was being turned over to his attorney because I would not give them my personal information, that they should have , and I refused to assume that I owe that amount. My last event of seizures took a large portion of my life away. Many memories are gone so I guess I will just get sued and go from there. That lady was rude!!!!

I had cervical fusion 17 years ago with complete success and was very happy with the way I was treated and cared for. Recently I have experienced similar syndromes and wasted no time calling Dr Giovanini again. I have been receiving very good care and thank God for the skill and knowledge he has given to Dr Giovanini and his staff. Melanie Pendergrass also has been so helpful and kind. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Gio to any of my family Members. Thank You Dr Giovanini and staff. Greg Neff Milton FL

Once he does surgery there is only a postop follow-up and no mention of physical therapy, home exercises or any explanation on what to expect in the future. His staff is rude and don't help and hard to get a hold of. You are lucky to get two minutes with this guy, needs a new personality.

Like many surgeons Dr Gio has a misconception that he is God! He overtalks you and has his opinion formed before he ever meets you. I’m certain many of us ex patients have paid him much money and he is probably very wealthy to his standards. One day he will be held accountable for his actions and rude behavior! He has very poor people skills and rude bedside manners and 18 years after his surgery I still have pain!!

He is horrible!!! Will never go to see him again. He did not explain anything to me, he spent maybe a good 5 minutes with me and then lied about part of my surgery. I never even got to see him again post op.His nurse was Very rude. She needs to go home. The only good experience I had was his very professional PA. Keith and the lady who schedules his appt.
