How he missed a 10cm cyst on my daughter's ovary is completely incompetent. 2 weeks after her annual exam with Dr. Gray, she saw another doctor who immediately felt the cyst and scheduled her for surgery. Day before the planned surgery the cyst twisted her fallopian tube and she had to have emergency surgery. Had she not gone to the second doctor they would have never known what the pain was from the morning it began and was taken to the ER. There are plenty of qualified ob-gyn doctors in NY to not have to gamble your health with Dr. Gray.

Judgmental and lacking empathy
Dr. Gray is the worst doctor I’ve ever seen. He was judgmental, which is not what you want in a GYN. I am an Ivy League graduate and professional, and was treated like I was stupid. He was unempathetic and could not give clear answers. He would reply to questions by rattling off percentage statistics, which actually have no meaning without greater context. I can google studies online - the doctor’s role is to explain what things mean to you, as the patient. He treats patients with a lack of basic courtesy and respect. I’m not surprised that doctors who act like this are more likely to get sued for malpractice.

Refused service
Do not see this doctor! He does not respect patient’s time. I showed up on time to a 2:30 appointment with this doctor. I was asked COVID questions by a security guard at the entrance which took a few minutes and then I was told to sign in on the kiosks. The tablets at the kiosks weren’t working so I went to the front desk. They signed me in and told me to take a seat. After waiting in the waiting room for 15 minutes, I was called to the front desk and told that the doctor was refusing to see me since I was late for my appointment. I said that’s not true since I was not late and had already been waiting 15 minutes. They said they clocked me in as signing in at 2:38. I explained this was due to the broken tablets and the COVID questioning from security. The front desk understood and went to talk to the doctor, but he still refused to see me. I have no interest in making another appointment with this doctor if he acts this way.

Good listener. Hes quick and explains everything. I felt comfortable with him while he was doing the exam even though the exam isn't the most comfortable thing in the world. He's not judgmental or anything just matter of fact. Take the advice or leave it. He will apologize if you feel uncomfortable too.

Dr. Gray is so condescending and rude I'm honestly surprised he still has a job. I asked him questions about the IUD and he would respond with "don't believe everything you read" and "what is your source on that?", while displaying the most judgmental face. He made me feel like I didn't know anything about my own body and that my concerns were not valid. Responding to one of my questions he told me there is no research to support that. I found plenty of research supporting what I was inquiring about, from very reputable sources (I have a Masters, I know how to conduct research properly). I put up with all of this due to location convenience until... He really, really hurt me during a routine exam. I screamed out in pain. I have never ever been hurt like that during an exam. It was radio silence after I screamed, no "sorry", or "are you okay?" - nothing. I asked him why that hurt so bad and all he said is "I really couldn't say." What kind of response is that?
