My sons both see Dr. Hakim. He has taken good care of both my children. I appreciate that when I have one son for an appointment, he remembers my other son and will inquire about him. My only problem is that office is very busy and they do not always have available appointments.

Feels like profit over patient
Time and time again when seeking relief for basic issues; I was put through unnecessary and expensive appointments, testing, and evaluations under the guise of patient care. Simple medication prescriptions (non narcotic) for issues that are basic and acute, that were previously diagnosed and treated successfully were now refused in place of forcing appointments and outpatient diagnostic testing. Moreover, the negative attitude, lack of resolve, and condescending explanation(s) from his team in his absence is horrendous. It feels like fast-food, for-profit medicine, not altruistic patient-based care. I would advise seek care elsewhere for your own well being.

Need prescription refilled. Dr Hakim refused. Need to schedule appt to continue with prescription which is understandable, but when you’re out and count on this medication, you could prescribe and then make appt. Don’t deny a prescription. Will be looking for better primary.

Primary Doctor
Dr. Mark Hakim WAS my doctor for 8 years. Because of him I almost died. Worst doctor EVER. I had a cold that went into Bronchitis, Pneumonia, and finally Acute Septic shock. I was profusely throwing up blood and had a fever of 104*. This was a progression of 2 weeks. I just needed a simple anti-biotic. My sister's doctor saved my life that is NOT affiliated with U-M Hospital. Dr. Mark Harkim is impersonal and practices factory medicine.

Dr. Mark Hakim is one of the least qualified Drs. I don't think he had enough knowledge to treat me. Dr. Matthew Davis, who had left Uof M was the BEST Doctor I have ever had. Do not recommend DR. Hakim . Maybe he is better with babies!

A very competent family doctor - he is caring and spends ample time listening to issues and questions. He follows routine procedures fairly closely but won't hesitate to send for additional tests if you voice concerns.

Was seen by Dr.Hakim for a leg injury and was misdiagnosed with a fractured femur(thigh ) when all I had was a leg muscle inflammation.
