He’s a jerk. I miscarried at 12 weeks and he walked into the room, literally said “there’s no heartbeat” and walked out. He didn’t ask if I had any questions or really even give me a chance to process it. Next thing I know I have an appointment for a d&c and I’m being shooed out the door. He’s a horrible doctor with an even worse bedside manner.

He is unprofessional, lacks empathy & compassion. My baby was diagnosed with Down Syndrome & when he first came in the room he barely spoke to me. Said "I'm going to be blunt, DS babies have a risk of dying out of the blue," "I would request an amnio but his characterisitics confirm his diagnosis." I said "well that's good news" (I had refused the amnio before). He laughed at me and said "not necessarily." I went over cardiology reports with him, he interrupted me & said "yeah, I read them."

He lacks empathy, compassion, and bedside manner. He seems nice during normal conversation but lacks in departments necessary for proper medical personnel. He’s very forgetful too. My charts were a mess and his nurse practitioner was rude. She kept changing my due date and I ended up with 4 different ones all within a month a part and he wouldn’t do anything about it. I was very disappointed in my care.

Very good at what he does but needs to take some time to do some major work on how to deliver news of issues to patients. There are ways to communicate bad news that involve empathy and taking time to explain so that things can be understood, not just extreme bluntness in a hurry. In a specialty that changes lives so dramatically this is a necessary skill.
