Dr. Mark Kan, MD

18 years ago my husband and I went to Dr. Kan after 5 unsuccessful IVF rounds with another doctor and being told I would never be able to have another child. Dr. Kan listened and treated us with so much respect I felt that I could go through the process one last time and be able to “walk away” with no regrets. He performed a couple procedures to get my uterus in a better place and had me start acupuncture 2x a week for my overall well-being. With only two small area’s available to implant 6 eggs, we waited in anticipation for our next visit. I knew though that it had worked. And it did. There were some complications along the way, but my 2 lb 12 ounce preemie is graduating with honors from high school next week and off to college in the fall. She is perfect, and I have Dr. Kan to thank for our miracle.

I cannot say enough good things about Newport Fertility Center and working with Dr. Kan. After 5 years of unexplained infertility and 2 failed IUI attempts with a different highly reputable health center, I am currently almost 6 months pregnant thanks to him. His entire office staff works as a team, are incredibly kind, patient, and understanding, and are always willing and able to answer any questions you have throughout the process. Our initial consultation was in the fall of 2019, however due to the pandemic we decided to wait to begin until the following fall. Their office has been extremely cautious about keeping everyone healthy which was a great comfort going through what can already be a tremendously stressful process. We were living in Long Beach at the time and working with them was absolutely worth the 30-60 minute drive, each way, for an appointment. For anyone looking for fertility specialists, without a doubt, Newport Fertility Center is the way to go.

I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Kan and his team! They are amazing! The office itself is very nice and high tech. The staff are friendly and you are never kept waiting for appointments. Throughout the ups and downs of our fertility treatments they have always been very supportive. We are so thankful for Dr. Kan and his team!

I love that he was very positive and patient with my many concerns and questions. Love the fact that he performs the ultra sounds and not a tech. Thanks to his knowledge and staff, we will soon have a baby girl!

Dr. Kan is an incredibly knowledgable, kind doctor with excellent bedside manner. He helped guide me through many ups and downs and I would recommend him to anyone- in fact, I already have! I started seeing Dr. Kan when I was 24 years old. I had already gone through 3 retrieval cycles with very poor quality embryos and absolutely no success (only 2 blasts combined over the 3 cycles). I'm not sure if it was my age that led my two previous physicans to discount my situation, but Dr. Kan took everything into account and provided me with an great protocol that ultimately yielded 8 blastocysts. I'm now 13 weeks pregnant & still have embroys left over. I am so thankful to have found him.
