'Why are you here?'
I received treatment at a different hospital that closed its oncology dept a month after I finished chemo and radiation. I called Dr. Karwal's office to transfer to his hospital for follow up care. When he walked in, he said 'You don't have cancer now, why are you here?'. I was told by my previous oncologist that I needed to be closely monitored for several years. Dr. Karwal made me feel dumb for requesting follow up care for my cancer diagnosis.

This doctor was kind, thorough, and gave clear explanations and answered questions. He even identified a possible unrelated issue and ordered immediate blood work which saved me time. He was everything I expect from a doctor and more.

Dr. Karwal says things like, "The cancer could just jump to your brain," and "We'll start treatment but you won't likely be here in 9 months." This doctor has terrible communication skills and will insist his way is the only way. Save your time and ask for another doctor.
