I left there over 10 year ago.
I left there over 10 year ago. I should have left sooner, but didn’t know. Initially was seen by Dr. Landrio who seemed very educated and knowledgeable. Only a couple of appointments with him. Then I only saw nurse practitioner. I was told he was busy with research & etc. misunderstanding or misheard info. Errors on my medical records. I only found out after months of going there when I asked for copies of medical records to confirm & get go get better care & better service than his office. I had to pay for copies. I am now seeing Dr. Dave in Fairfax. An amazing, impeccable, meticulous & caring neurologist. I check on Mychart, but I really don't need to. He is accurate on my records. Every appointment is with him. So appreciative he is there for every appointment & he is very attentive. This is the way a neurologist should be. I realized that when I started going to see him. This neurologist has kept my Multiple Sclerosis at bay. Staff is great too. He is a top neurologist

very likely NOT returning
I entered the office a bit confused due to the lack of signage. Not the end of the world. The first employee to start questioning me, who I thought was taking my history, was actually giving me a memory test. I started to give my history and she literally said, "Let me stop you right there, I'm testing your memory." Here's an idea: try starting with, "I'm, insert name, and I'm here to test your memory. The next person in the appointment will take your history." The second person came in and started to take my history. I quickly tried my best to describe the process to date, the tests performed, my recent diagnosis, and the medication regimen that has been prescribed. She said, "What are you doing here?" I wanted to say, "I've been diagnosed with a neurological condition and I just relocated...why on earth are you asking me what I'm doing here?" I was truly dumbfounded. What an unfriendly first impression.

Optional Mask Policy
I had to walk out of an EMG with Dr. Landrio’s office because the technician was not wearing a mask and she not only said “it’s optional” but “I can’t guarantee that Dr. Landrio will be wearing a mask.” I also saw half the staff were not wearing masks. In today’s environment with high transmission rates in 2/3 of the US, I would expect that a doctor's office would take every precaution possible to protect their patients. Since I am immunocompromised, a former smoker, and have diabetes. A form of leukemia plus I don’t have any Covid antibodies even after being vaccinated twice and getting two boosters, I as many seniors am taking every precaution to protect my family and myself. For a doctor to allow his staff to have an optional mask policy or not wear one himself, in a “high transmission rate area” reflects, in my opinion, a total lack of respect for the patient, particularly when the doctor is a neurologist that treats long term Covid patients.

Avoid
While PA Melissa Ochoa is wonderful, and I have found other staff members friendly and helpful, I will be moving on from this practice once an equipment issue is resolved. The building itself is substandard. The sidewalk out front has a raised spot that could easily cause a fall. Inside, the lobby has an unkempt look, and the elevator is dirty with rippled carpet. On one occasion the elevator was filled with trash bags. The bathroom, as mentioned in another review, is poorly taken care of. I arrived after dark for a sleep study to a poorly lit parking lot, making me feel unsafe. Dr. Landrio’s politics are on display in the Fox News that blares constantly. In addition, masks are not required in the office. This is the only medical facility I have seen that does not require masks. I saw only one masked staff member. Not comforting with COVID on the rise! Dr. Landrio is welcome to his opinions, but it is inappropriate, IMO, to force feed them to his patients.

I did not meet with Dr Landrio, but with one of his nurse practitioners. I was very pleased with the care and attention I received. My issue was with the waiting room. As a new patient waiting for my appointment, I was stunned to discover that Fox News was playing. I have been in many doctors' office over the years and have never experienced this before. After 20 minutes of being barraged with half-truths, misinformation and ginned up hatred toward others, my blood pressure and pulse were significantly elevated. I nearly left before my appointment even started, I was feeling so ill. The screening nurse taking my pulse was concerned about it being high, and I told her it was because Fox News was playing in the waiting room. For the sake of his patients' health, I would urge him to think again about keeping his political leanings to himself, and to not hurt the very patients he purports to help. It compromises the integrity of the care that he seeks to provide. Just leave the TV off.

Ok! Dr. Landrio is amazing!! Finally have a diagnosis thanks to him. He spent so much time with me after closing and on a holiday weekend! Worked with my Rheumatologist and had me in to start medication in 2 days!! It is such a pleasure to have a Dr. that truly cares about me and my illness and is determined to help me get better! His office staff and infusion nurse Sara is also outstanding. CNS Lupus is rare and hard to diagnose but he got it right! Thank God! If you are looking for someone who really cares and is also extremely knowledgeable he is your guy!

Totally insensitive to patients when not in for an appointment! Calls to nurse hotline are completely ignored even after 48 hours. Dr. Landrio should be more compassionate to his patients when crisis with mental or physical problems arise. After all, Mental issues continue even after you walk out his exam room.

I was very impressed with Dr. Landrio’s attentive care to my specific needs. I was seen promptly and my visits with him were not at all rushed and I felt that he was concerned with going over all my issues before I left his office. Neurological Associates; Melissa Ochoa is a Board Certified Family Nurse. I can’t say enough good things about her! Some people commented in their negative reviews that what bothered them the most was not improper medical care but his political stance. So just because he watches Fox News and liked Trump and has conservative ideals you won’t see him again? I, personally am very politically and socially conservative, however some of my Dr.’s are not and put very liberal leaning shows on in their waiting room tv’s. I don’t care for it but I certainly don’t judge the physician’s medical abilities by it either! God help America but we are so thankful to still have a few Dr's & Nurse Practitioners, who are still willing to stand in the hedge & Love America!

Never saw him only his nurse practitioner who was excellent. However I have been waiting for 10 weeks to hear from his sleep center about a new machine. Front desk says call and leave a message. Zero customer service and empathy. A note about my only encounter with the doctor was when he came into the sleep lab while I was being hooked up for a study. He spoke to the technician but never acknowledged me.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS D'S OFFICE! Well never got to see the doctor because the office staff is completely incompetent. They know I have 2 health insurances and the secondary is out of network. The girl said she talked to the 2nd insurance company and they covered it, and she went ahead and made my appointment. I arrive at the appointment and give them paperwork, insurances cards and ID. They proceed to tell me that since my secondary insurance is out of network I would be responsible for the amount the primary does not pay. Not was I was told the other day by the person I had been working with, the one conveniently on vacation this week. They said she was the only one who handled this and I would have to wait until next week when she got back and they could not call her. So likely i'd be waiting weeks to have the test I need done. I have found another doctor and this office is a place I will never associate with since they cant get their stuff straight. Completely rude staff.

It would almost be a waste of my time typing to describe the terrible experience my wife had here on what was supposed to be her first appointment. We have two insurances and they denied any treatment! She ended up not getting any treatment and left in tears. Why would you make my wife cry, she's already in pain!

I am a physician. I went to Dr. Landrio for a neurological disorder last June and was misdiagnosed. To add insult to injury, critical laboratory results were withheld from me for 3 weeks! Just a tip: anyone who uses the prefix "Dr." and the acronym "MD" when addressing themselves is bound to be an egotistical compensatory quack.

They have a very strict "Office Policy" that you MUST arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your appointment time, but they can leave you in a room for 45 minutes, without telling you WHY they are running late. Once Anne arrived to my appointment (45 minutes late), she flipped through lab paperwork (no eye contact) to tell me my labs were all normal! Couldn't the office call me to tell me my labs were OK? NO! I guess they wanted to charge me for an office visit! AND I had to take off work to go to an "office visit" that was UNNECESSARY! I cancelled the remaining appointments with this office and I will NOT return. Waiting room is dirty (dusty) and the patients' bathroom is even dirtier (hand prints on the walls & door). Not a good 1st impression.

Great experience and received thoughtful, excellent care from both Dr. Landrio and Anne Solomon. Wait time was typical for a specialist's office, but then both gave me the time I needed to share my list of concerns and were thorough during the exam and in explaining things. Highly recommend this very thorough, caring, knowledgable Doctor and NP!

I'm leaving this review on behalf of my mother. She drove over 30 minutes to her appointment, and had to bring her elderly mother (who is in a wheelchair) with her. Upon arrival at the office, there were no signs indicating a wheelchair ramp, so she (69 years old) had a lug a wheelchair up multiple steps,. This made her late for her appt, and they cancelled it. She tried to explain, and was rudely told to reschedule. I wouldn't trust a doctor's office with zero regard for their patients.
