Tongue Cancer
Dr. Loury has helped me with my tongue cancer. I have had to have three excisions on my tongue to remove cancerous cells. My tongue looks better and my check ups are now less frequent. He also ordered to have supplemental tests to be done to make sure nothing else was happening in my mouth and throat area.

Dr. Mark Loury, MD. gave me the most thorough exam I have ever experienced. He treated my Vertigo condition on my first visit successfully, a condition I suffered with for many months. Vertigo is gone! He also treated me for swollen lymph nodes near my left clavicle by ordering an additional diagnostic test. The images rendered clear details to provide a positive diagnosis and eliminated a further invasive procedure. Most importantly his quick diagnosis shortened my anguish. Dr. Loury handled my concerns with professionalism, expertise, compassion and concern. In summary all I can state is Dr. Loury is AMAZING!!!!

I have received both excellence and compassion in my care with Dr Loury and his staff. Every question and concern with my thyroid cancer and subsequent surgeries were addressed. Additionally, the nursing staff at the surgery center offered unsolicited commendations on Dr Loury, telling me they would choose him, people come from other states for him and that he is meticulous in his work. Personally, I appreciated his accessibility and kindness.

Miscommunication with their office on appointment time resulted in my missing my appointment which they would not consider my side when I showed up right on time on the wrong and then refused to reschedule me because I was a new patient. Very unprofessional in a global pandemic that docs should be encouraging all patients to seek medical help

Dr. Loury has taken great care of me this past year. I could write a long review but it isn't needed. He and his staff are kind and caring. The office is busy for sure but it was worth the wait to see him.

Dr Loury did my daughters surgery in December 2019 and she did great. She is able to breath, smell and got rid of those nasty tonsils. He did 4 separate procedures during her surgery and she did really well. I would highly recommend Dr Loury to family and friends.

I was referred to Dr. Loury for my thyroid cancer. I was excited to have him as a doctor as I had seen him before (for an ear issue) and trusted his expertise. Unfortunately, I did not have a great experience when it came to considering a thyroidectomy. Dr. Loury encouraged me to wait and watch the cancer. He talked about recent studies in Asia and indicated that most people have thyroid cancer without symptoms or issue. My other option was to remove just the isthmus. I, thankfully, got a second opinion. Right away, the new doctor told me that this type of cancer on the isthmus is more aggressive. My cancer had spread to the left lobe, to several lymph nodes, and was crushing my windpipe. If I had waited, I don’t know how bad it would’ve gotten. almost a year later, I am still doing radioactive iodine to try to get rid of the remaining cancer. I feel he did not take my case as seriously as he should have and I would not recommend his services - especially for thyroid cancer.

I was very disappointed with my visit to Dr. Loury’s office. I went because my doctor referred me to him, but I will be searching for a new ENT. I arrived on time for my appointment, but waited an hour to be seen. When Dr. Loury finally entered the room to see me he was completely unprepared. He hadn’t looked at any of the notes from my doctor or test results in my chart. He proceeded to open and read them while I continued to wait. He then read/repeated everything in my chart and scheduled a repeat test that my PCP is able to order. I left wondering why I wasted my time and money with a specialist. To top the infuriating visit off, his secretary scheduled a test for me without asking when I could go and left me a voicemail that said. ‘The test has been scheduled for —- time. If you can’t go then you will need to call and reschedule on your own.’ Needless to say I will not be returning to this doctor.

Before going to Dr. Loury I had chronic sinus issues and almost continual headaches. Nearly a year after surgery things are much better. He always took time with me asking questions and making sure I asked and he answered all of mine. Highly recommended.

He is wonderful. He is a busy guy but he is a great Dr. He performed a complex nasal surgery and my life is so improved! The surgery took 2x's as long as expected and he took the time to ensure it was right. He personally follows up and takes the time to make you feel special and valued. I would highly recommend him. He is busy and getting appointments for routine visits can be a challenge so be patient.

I have been dealing with intense burning, shooting ear pain for over 3 years. I had 2 different ENT's tell me it was TMJ before even looking inside my ear, so I went to 3 different Dentists, one that specialized in TMJ and all 3 confirmed that I did NOT have TMJ (which I didn't think I had either). From the moment I made the appointment, to the lengthy- detailed examination that Dr. Loury performed, I knew I was at the right place. He was honest, caring and compassionate. He actually listened, t

Dr. Loury performed a stapedotomy procedure on my left ear at the end of June 2017. The outcome was excellent. On initial visits Dr. Loury explained all the pros and the possible cons of the surgery, and what his philosophy would be during the surgery. He answered all my questions, (I had quite a list of questions after doing research on the web), and spent all the time needed to make sure I was happy with my decision to go ahead with the surgery. I would highly recommend Dr. Loury

This visit was the second time I was seen by Dr. Loury. I find him to be very courteous, and very focused on what was going on with me, writing down symptoms as we spoke, and paying careful attention to my particular case. I would recommend him highly to anyone needing an ENT specialist.
