Never!! In a million years
There was a break in the sterile field during total knee replacement surgery due to his incompetence in checking OR pre-op checks. I ended up with loss of extension and flexion, and an infection that required two more surgeries and 30 days of daily IV antibiotic infusions. He admitted fault to me and promised to make things right but he took the coward way out and hid behind the lawyers. He lied to me and I’m still suffering problems with my knee since then. He can not be trusted and he’s a liar. RUN away from him and his practice!!

I never felt comfortable in the office. Saw PA more than doctor. Surgery okay. Denied pain med at seven weeks, although still hurting. "It's been seven weeks. You should be over it."

I felt Dr. Luker cared about me. He listened and answered my concerns. I was very thankful at how thoroughly he explained my injury. Professional, friendly, caring...unusual traits in a surgeon. Thankfully, I did not need surgery!

Not impressed! Gave Dr. Luker, or should I say his Assistant and Dr. Gammon over 6 months to repair my husband's leg after an auto accident. We finally moved his care to another practice out of Grand Junction and are finally seeing some progress! Another annoying fact is that Dr. Luker never came and talked to me after the surgery and never came to the hospital room to check on my husband! I won't even go into the fact that he was arrogant with the other med staff at the ER! We won't return!

Dr. Luker is nothing short of an absolutely horrible physician. The notion that he practices honest, evidence-based practice medicine is laughable. When I saw him for an appointment to address a knee sprain he was rude from the minute he walked into the room, did not extend a handshake, was dismissive of my injury, did not care about anything I had to tell him, and deferred more than half of my exam. He acted like it was beneath him to even be seeing me as a patient. His PA, Daryl, is awesome.

I received outstanding care from Dr. Luker at St. Mary’s in May 2017 for a reverse total shoulder surgery. Every encounter I have with Dr. Luker is top notch. He is extremely knowledgeable, professional, compassionate, competent, and interested in my well-being. He demonstrated what medicine is –as it should be– an art as well as a science. He has restored my faith in orthopedic surgery!! THANK YOU!

I had a bucket handle tear of my meniscus. Dr. Luker made room for me in his schedule with short notice. His PA and nurses educated me and reduced my stress. Dr. Luker appeared, reaffirmed my education and clearly stated his plan. Extended time decreases the potential of repair. He got me in surgery that week. He repaired the meniscus against some ugly odds. I found him honest, competent and capable. He made every effort for me. He and his team are greatly appreciated. I am a big fan

I visited Dr. Luker at the recommendation of a family member who is an occupational therapist. I was told that the therapists felt he did some of the best work and their patients were happy with him. At 43 I was sick of the nearly 30 years of pain I had been in following an accident in my early teens. Dr. Luker was professional and informative. He went over several options for my particular issue and it was elected that I would undergo a partial knee replacement. I'm quite happy with his work.

HORRIBLE! Rude, dismissive, had no interest in what I was saying, what my areas of concern were. I left in tears. I am scared to go back to this office for fear other Dr.'s would treat me similarly. If you are moderately overweight or overweight at all BEWARE! This is NOT the Dr. for you. I appreciate directness and not wasting time but I was humiliated and degraded. Had another Dr. at another office take the same xrays with EXTREMELY different results.
