Insensitive and more clinical then supportive!
I went as a new patient after a night in the ER for extreme chest pain and what was identified as pericardia. This Dr was horrible. Not sensitive. Never asked how I was feeling or was I in pain or if I needed pain meds, nothing!! He was more concerned with my weight(suggesting I needed a lap band or surgery for my weight loss! Also just focused on my cholesterol and getting me on a statin, even though I told him I had horrible reactions to statins and that I have been trying to reduce it naturally and have had it drop several points since my last blood test. It was like I was talking to the wall, just kept pushing drugs. An injection given 2x a year, which I later researched and it is only useful if you are already on some form of cholesterol medicine! Again, never really addressed my immediate concern and as to why I had to go the the ER! He scheduled me for a bunch of tests, but I will be cancelling them and going to a different dr. Worst experience ever for me.

AWFUL: Arrogant - unwilling to listen to patient or family and order the medications the patient was on to stabilize during emergency ER admission and then tinker after. Patient has Stage 4 Kidney disease. He lost the patient 36 hours of reduced BP and may have caused more kidney damage due to being unwilling to listen. Thank Goodness the Kidney Dr came in and changed all the medications back to base line and got him off the Nitro drip which did nothing for 36 hours & required the patient to be transferred to ICU.

I met Dr. Rothchild at Leesburg hospital. I then went to his office at Citrus Cardiology. He is a great listener who takes his time with his patients. He is knowledgeable and understands each person is different and medicine reacts differently to everyone. I appreciate his patience. His staff are fantastic also

Dr. Rothschild took the time and wasn't rushed to go over my test and explain the results to me. He also went through my records from my previous doctor from up North and compared the results. I understood what Dr. Rothschild was telling me about my heart and what I had been through. I would recommend Dr Rothschild to others because he is very concerned about his patients.

This idiot almost killed my father. My dad is a Dialysis patient and had to get a heart stint put in. After the surgery Dr. Rothschild prescribed him medication that almost caused him to have to go to the emergency room at dialysis the next day. Dialysis already causes my fathers blood pressure to drop and Rothschild gave him additional medicine to drop it even more.

Do not go to this cardiologist, particularly if your life depends on it. He was the attending cardiologist when my mother was admitted to hospital, and she passed away while under his "care". He never spoke to my mother as to her condition or treatment, did not return 3 desperate phone calls from a family member, and ignored another family member who waited in the hospital to see him (unsuccessfully) for 5 hours while he dictated notes, ate lunch, ignored her. Negligent and insensitive.
