Super Impressed
Reflections OBGYN staff are all so very kind, helpful, and seem to genuinely care about their patients. Personal interactions with each and every one of them came very easy and naturally - this does not happen at all doctor offices. This was my first visit with Dr. Sargent and I am beyond grateful that I chose him as my specialist care provider. His interpersonal communication skills are impressive! I felt as if I had been a patient of his for years!! He is knowledgeable yet is able to discuss medical care in terms that are understandable to the general layman. He is funny and witty which showed me that while he is my physician, he is also human - I take comfort in that because I do not feel degraded, disregarded or disrespected just because I am “only a patient.” The entire experience was every bit worth it :)

Great communication, kind, efficient
I was referred to Dr. Sargent by a friend after a terrible experience with the health first system during a miscarriage 4+ years ago. Dr. Sargent and his entire staff, particularly his nurse Lindsey, have always been nothing short of kind, understanding, patient, and willing to answer and explain any questions or concerns. The entire staff is incredibly efficient and they have great communication internally and with me as a patient. Dr. Sargent has always listened to any concerns and is always happy to discuss all the different options. I recently had the NovaSure procedure done in office, and both Dr. Sargent and Lindsey did a great job at educating me on what it is, how it works, and what to expect. I couldn’t be happier with them!

Great
Dr. S tells you exactly what needs to be done. I’ve been having the same problem for 2 years and he did an exam said this is what it might be, we need a biopsy. No other GYN has listened to the extent of a problem and been ready to help fix it. I highly recommend you give him a shot!

Dr. Sargent is both rude and disrespectful, and my last visit was extremely painful. My husband was in the room for my pap, and the Dr. would only talk to him, and totally ignored what I was saying (like..."That really hurts".) He was very rough during my exam, and I was still sore the next day. Ironically, 2 other women that left while we were there seemed barely able to walk, and one of them was crying. In my 20 years of OB/GYN visits, I've never seen anything like it. His inappropriate jokes about us having sex too much was the last straw(2 -4 times per week is not excessive to me.) My husband was very offended by the fact that the Dr. was not listening to my concerns, and wouldn't answer my questions. Dr. Sargent said nothing was wrong with me, but I know my body, so I went to a different GYN the next week. She told me I had a chronic yeast infection that was a complication of my diabetes. She prescribed the right medicine, and I was better in 2 days. I do NOT recommend Dr Sargent.

The nurses are great and they give you nice warm socks to wear in the office. Dr. Sargent is a bit condescending and patronizing. It is worse if you dare question his treatment plan. He likes to jump straight to surgery as a treatment. Overall, he does the job but you will need to be able to stand up for yourself.

Dr. Sargent is great! Love that he is honest and does not sugar coat anything. He cares about his patients! His staff is great as well and are very knowledgeable and helpful. They definitely took care of me throughout my pregnancy! Dr. Sargent performed an excellent c-section and tubal ligation. My recovery experience was way better than I thought it was going to be!

I'm am a nurse who's worked with many doctors. Dr. Sargent is confident, but not cocky; upbeat, but not unrealistic; explains, but never patronizes. My condition required an endometrial biopsy that another doctor failed to do in-office so wanted to send me for surgery. Dr. Sargent used a prostaglandin drug to relax my uterus which allowed him to quickly obtain the biopsy with minimal discomfort in his office. His office staff are helpful & professional. The office is clean & tastefully done.

I assumed being in the Viera area he would have a bit of class, but he does not. It's 50/50 on whether I'll have a good appointment, he seems bipolar. I have had an issue with him at all but one of my appointments in regards to his poor word choice, lack of bedside manner and misogynistic comments. After speaking with other military wives and active duty, apparently this is well-known but dealt with due to his credentials? Guess you can decide what you want to deal with...
