is not patient oriented, doesn't wait on test results before dismissing patient symptoms. DO NOT trust him with your care. PT caused too much pain so the therapist stopped treatment and sent me back to Care Now stating the injury was too great for therapy at this point so his course of treatment was to dismiss my case and return me to full duty.

Came for a workman comp injury. Dr. Mark Shafik is not a doctor who cares for the patient. He is working for the business that pays Care now for workmans comp. He makes makes you believe that what he is telling you is for your benefit but really he is just screwing you over. He's the managing director for the fossil creek location. Don't go to this guy. He is the worse doctor they have there. Do not trust him!!

He was very rude, spoke in an accusatory tone when discussing course of illness. He ignored symptoms, failed to review chart or specialist findings. He removed restrictions before consulting with the treating specialist. This makes me eligible for light duty. That form was sent to my claims adjuster who is now denying my claim, trying to force me to return to work. I am on narcotic medication and others to treat symptoms, making driving unsafe. But, Dr. Shafik removed driving restriction.
