In December of 2024, Dr. Werner performed an ANTERIOR hip replacement, and my recovery has been very successful; I’ve had very little pain since surgery, and I’ve regained almost all my flexibility and strength in only 60 days. Dr. Mark Werner is by far the best hip surgeon available!!! My first hip replacement in 2017 was a POSTERIOR hip replacement, which did not go well, the recovery was very long and difficult, and I still have pain, stiffness, and some instability. If you’re needing a total hip replacement, you need to investigate the anterior replacement option (Dr. Werner’s specialty) because it’s minimally invasive compared to the posterior option. My scar from the anterior replacement is less than half the size of the scar from the posterior replacement. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Werner. Call Dr. Werner!!! You will not be disappointed.

Dr. Werner performed hip replacement surgery for me in August of 2024. The surgery was 100% successful and recovery was rapid. After walking with a bad limp and lots of pain for about 2 years, it was amazing to be walking normally without pain almost immediately.All pre-op and post-op visits were conducted right on time with no waiting. Dr. Werner is a consummate professional and I recommend him without hesitation.

I had severe arthritis in both hips. From my first visit to my post Op visit I was impressed with the entire care team led by Dr, Wener. It was a team effort. The nurses and PA all contributed to my care. I was impressed by how quickly my recovery went with the care I was given.

Dr. Werner gave my husband his life back. His pain affected every aspect of his life yet he couldn't bring himself to do what needed to be done - a total hip replacement. I'll spare you the deceitful acts I committed to get a consult with Dr. Werner but it worked. The doc's frank, matter-of-fact demeanor worked. My husband agreed to the surgery. Hallelujah! The next part of this story is all gravy. The accolates that poured in from medical professionals about Dr. Werner made me feel special, like when I bought my first real Louis Vuitton. Dr. Werner clearly has earned all of the amazing things that are said about him. My husband still has some pain, because he also needs a total hip replacement on his left side BUT, he is walking straight. He is climbing stairs with an almost normal gate. And the crem- de-la-creme, he wants to try to play golf again. That means he has hope back in his life. How do you say thank you for something like that? Words just aren't enough.

I was fed up with hip pain and accepted the fact I needed a replacement. After looking at my options, I wanted to have the anterior approach but less than a handful perform this procedure in the entire state. It seemed the only option was to go to Denver but after some more intensive searching, I found that Dr. Werner offered the procedure and all previous patients were very happy with their outcomes. I made an appointment and got in earlier because of a cancellation, which was a godsend because of the pain. We discussed my situation and I decided to proceed with the surgery. Dr. Werner explained all details and I appreciated his honest assessment. I don't know if it was my prior military experience (he's a retired Colonel) but his no nonsense approach to medicine was most refreshing. I am now two months out from surgery and had a very fast recovery (walking without any aids after ~10 days) which is a testament to this approach. I strongly recommend Dr. Werner

Dr. Werner & his medical team provided everything I needed to have a successful total knee replacement surgery. They're professional, efficient & attentive to every detail - including pain management, wound care, scheduling PT & sending me home with a Polar Care Cube for icing. I'm eight weeks post-surgery & my incision scar is amazing - barely there & fading fast. I highly recommend Dr. Werner, his PA Kevin Regan & his office staff. Their professionalism is impressive.

After thorough research for a total TKR surgeon, Dr Mark Werner was selected due to him having the highest positive reviews and the most years of practice for my wife's TKR that was compounded with a previous knee bone break that was sadly totally screwed up by previous NM Orthopedic surgeon in the ABQ medical field. Obviously her TKR by Dr Werner was a total success. On our first visit to him He listened to our concern about the knee and our fears about waiting so long for a TKR given my wife was at that time 6 months wheelchair bound after the failure of previous NM Orthopedic surgeon. Dr Werner showed geniune concern & compassion and said He would do everything possible to schedule the TKR surgery ASP. Well She got her new knee months earlier than previously scheduled. Dr Werner and his staff have been nothing but caring, compassionate and very professional. Recommend Dr Werner? Absolutely YES if you need a doctor that cares, listens, communicates & at the TOP of his field.

Dr. Werner replaced my full hip 2 months ago. The pain was less the first night than it had been in a year. He was so kind and explained what he was going to do. He is one of only 4 doctors in New Mexico who go through the front when replacing a hip. The recovery is so much easier. Definitely would highly recommend him.

I had a full hip replacement done June 6, 2024. Best decision I've made. Dr. Werner did the anterior approach. My healing and mobility recovery has been smooth sailing. I was without any device within two weeks. at 2 months I am back to full activity. Very grateful for the care and support I received.

He replaced my right knee and had x rays done and explained what he was going to do.He was very thorough.Had me literally walking with help hours after surgery.In the hospital 1 nite only. All my rehab was set up.He has a wonderful calming approach about surgery. It is one year later and it was the best thing I did for my knee and myself. I would recommend him without a doubt.

Dr. Werner performed anterior hip replacement surgery on both of my hips. Both times the surgeries were successful and I was standing and walking the same day. My overall recovery was great. I would highly recommend Dr. Werner if you are considering having hip replacement. Also his office staff were very responsive and helpful.

Dr Warner is outstanding in customer service, answering all my questions and making sure I knew all about my surgery. It went like it's supposed too, and I'm not in pain. And it's a quick recovery. This is my second surgery with Dr Warner and he is truly my hero!

I was impressed that I was able to ask a lot of questions and the doctor answered all of them pre and post op. The surgery went well and I was walking 2 miles by week 4 post op. I have no residual pain and I am walking normally now.

Dr. Replaced both of my knees Right knee first done in February 2023 which was in a lot of pain. Left knee was done March 2024. Both surgeries went very well no complications. I did what Dr. Werner told me to do. I had great care from Dr. Werner’s staff and I mean from his whole Staff down to the great care and great work that Dr. Werner performed on my knees.
