Stay away
If you like a Dr. who pats you on the head and says you have nothing to worry about when you bring up the one concern you have during your yearly and, as an added bonus have the administrative assistant give her opinion on a different health condition, than this is the place for you. I'd rather take my chances at a walk in clinic.

Bizarre experience. Seek care elsewhere!!!
I have unfortunately seen this doctor twice. Both times she came in the room frazzled and lacked bedside manner. The best way I can describe it is she came across like someone who isn't a doctor pretending to be a doctor. She spent most of the visit scrolling through my chart trying to find a lab result from 5 years ago (???) while mumbling to herself. She didn't explain why this was relevant, other than she wanted to see the results. The notes in my chart claim she discussed things that she never brought up. I also want to echo what the other reviews said about nurse staff giving a gossiping vibe. I 100% got that impression. When I left the room to check out (with no diagnosis, no idea of when I should come back), I didn't bother scheduling a follow up. If you're considering a doctor, GO ELSEWHERE.

Would not recommend. Avoid!
Unprofessional staff, the nurses whisper to each other/gossip. The nurse that took my vitals, reviews meds, allergies, and medical conditions etc asked me when I was diagnosed with a medical condition "because a lot of people self diagnose"- umm what?! I got the impression the nurse was judging me based on a negative experience she'd had with another patient. Then Dr. Mazzawi comes in and asks about the medical condition in my chart. That's NOT why I was at the doctor. I explain the medical condition but pivot to the acute issue I'm having. Dr. Mazzawi is glaring at me the entire time. Says "hmm" and asks what I think should be done. I asked if a particular test could be run based on the symptoms. She asked if I had a specialist to treat this issue. I said I did but this was a flare. She says "hmm" again, she cant help me, says to go see the specialist (who was booking weeks out). Waste of time! I call specialist who ordered test and couldnt believe Dr Mazzawi didnt order the the test!

Overall, I just felt that this Dr. did not care very much about me as a patient. I showed up and sat, waiting in the room, while I could hear Dr. Mazzawi and her associates laughing outside the door. I waited quite some time and the vibe of their chatter felt very uncomfortable, like they were gossiping. It felt unprofessional and, for some reason, struck me as if they were laughing at someone who been in that day. The annual physical felt rushed. She did not attempt to be personal in any way. I felt as if a machine was checking me, rather than a human. After the appt I had realized that I had forgotten to mention an issue I'd been having with severe heartburn. I messaged via the portal and received a very generic message back asking me to stop having caffeine, stop drinking alcohol, stop eating spicy food, et etc... I mean, I get it! I honestly do. But asking me to give up everything without a conversation about what is realistic felt very unhelpful and unrealistic.

Had a colonoscopy at her request. 4 years later, having an issue. New dr , Sent for results of old test....come to find out I had a carcinoma. She never bothered to look at my results or tell me I had cancer. Thanks to this awful mistake, I went 4 years without knowing. Heinous tragic mistake.

Dr. Mazzawi genuinely cares for each of her patients. She comes to appointments prepared, listens, answers questions, and makes good, quality conversations so I can get the most out of my care. I've also never been with an office or provider that is so responsive. I've submitted questions or info via Patient Gateway and they respond within hours, even the Dr. herself.

Dr. Mazzawi is wonderful. I recently changed primary care doctors. My first visit she took the time to review my history, discuss issues and make a plan that both she and I agreed on. I highly recommend her care and now plan to bring my entire family to her.

Awful experience with this practice. You get bumped in line when someone else shows up early for an apointment because they “have a train to catch” and you’re own appointment is running 15 min late. Switching doctors!

Dr. Mazzawi is a caring and competent physician who puts the patient at ease. She is super friendly so it makes it very easy to talk to her. I have a complicated medical background and I was impressed that she took the time to review my charts beforehand. She was on time too! Definite bonus! I feel very fortunate to have her as my primary care and would recommend her to anyone.
