Worst Doctor I've Ever Seen
5. The “doctor,” Martin Repetto is just awful. He does not listen to patients, but instead throws ego and hubris in your face by telling you that he is a medical doctor and a board-certified psychiatrist instead of listening to what you are saying or answering questions appropriately and honestly. He’s very arrogant and you will see him about 3 minutes a day, which was fine with me, as even that was hardly tolerable. He’s only there to medicate you

Dr. Repetto was my psychiatrist for more than 6 years. He was always available and willing to help me even when I couldn’t ask for help myself. He worked closely with my spouse on many occasions and got me stabilized. I’ve had many ups and downs and he was incredibly supportive. I’m not sure how my experience could be polar opposite from some of the reviews here, but I do know this: the people he’s helped get back to functioning are doing just that. Those who had the “extremes” (good and bad) are the ones who’ll seek out opportunities to review him to influence others. It’s hard finding a psychiatrist in Central Illinois. If you can give Dr. Repetto a try—or need a second opinion—check him out. I think he’s great, but see for yourself.

I saw him for 4 years and told him recently I wanted to slowly wean off my meds. He initially took me off too quickly which caused withdrawals. I jasked to be weaned off more gradually and he accused me of not wanting to go off my meds. When I tried to explain to him what I was feeling he cut me off and asked me what was my point. I was shocked. Then he condescendingly told me if I wanted to stay on the meds that I could find another doc. I reminded him that it had been MY desire to go off the meds in the first place and I didn’t feel like he was listening nor cared how I felt. He then got defensive and said how dare I accuse him of not being a good doctor. He also rolled his eyes at me. When I called him on the rolling his eyes his eyes he got even more agitated and told me I could find another doctor. I have NEVER been treated so rudely by anyone. My anxiety went through the roof. I left crying. He didn’t care. He shouldn’t be in mental health. Stay Clear!

Dr. Repetto has treated me for 10 years. I trust him as he has helped me through some very difficult times of change in my life. We work together and adjust meds as needed. He listens to all of my concerns. He has reached out to me by contacting me when my lab values were abnormal...

An absolute nightmare. He's as arrogant as a human can possibly be; allowing minimal input from patients. It's very clear that you are expected to just do as he says and not ask any questions. Never let this man near you.

Doesn’t listen, doesn’t work with you. It’s his way or the highway. Any suggestion from you is greeted with a condescending sigh. Anyone can find better. MUCH better.

I have seen Dr. Repetto for going on seven years now. He is my second psychiatrist. He is extremely knowledgable, and once rapport and trust is built, back and forth is enjoyable and taking an active part in one's own treatment plan is easy. Together, we have navigated through the labyrinth of my difficult diagnoses (including numerous incidences of PTSD), a couple dozen different medications changes and dosage increases/decreases, four PTSD events, and two pregnancies. Highly recommended.
