Truly a 5 Star Psychiatrist

I've been working with Dr. Klein for about 2 months, and really appreciate her! I had such a tough time finding an MD psychiatrist in CA, but really liked her profile. At our first appointment, a one-hour intake, she was warm, empathic, and informative. I felt instantly comfortable. She made sure I had a thorough understanding of my current medications and provided her clinical advice on what changes we could make. We talked about each option and, if I did want to make changes, where I would want to start. It was very collaborative and I felt my thoughts, concerns, and questions were heard. We've had 2 follow-up sessions since, each 30 min. With previous providers I've felt rushed and unable to ask all the questions I had, but this is not the case with Dr. Klein. She was patient with me, answered all my questions, and we came up with a plan together about best next steps. I 100% recommend her.

She's a real loser and her office staff is the worst I've ever encountered.

I was really nervous about seeing a new psychiatrist after my insurance changed. Dr. Klein was very friendly and professional. She made some suggestions about my medications that turned out to really help with some side effects that I was having that I thought I was just going to have to live with. What a relief to find someone that I like even better than my old psychiatrist!

She has zero empathy, zero advice, zero recommendations pharmacology wise for this 100% disabled Veteran. She has literally thrown her hands up like she has no hope. How is that supposed to make a patient feel? I gave her the old college try for more than a year. What a waste of time.

I feel that Dr. Klein is very unprofessional. I will be writing a letter to the medical board to explain what took place in that office yesterday. Never in my 46 years of life I had talked back to a doctor, never. I have always been very respectful, but her lack of respect and demeaning attitude towards me in less than 5 minutes from meeting her clearly shows that she should not be in that field. I wish I could tell the whole story.
