Dr. Mary Culotta, MD

while l was in operating room being prepared she was on her cell phone. TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! Worst experience l have ever had with a doctor and actually with the Garden/Obgyn.

Dr. Culotta is by far the best OB/GYN I've ever been to and I'm 45 years old. She's extremely kind and compassionate and makes every effort to ensure her patients understand their circumstances and best next steps. I recently took my mom to see Dr. Culotta as well (whom at the age of 69 was very resistant to getting a much needed check up). My mom was handled with the utmost care by the entire staff and my mom left feeling very confident and comfortable that she was in the right hands.

Culotta was great during my pregnancy, she discussed my results and answered my concerns. The last month I asked her would she be around to deliver my baby and she told me she was only on call at my hospital one weekend a month! This was news to me. When my waters broke early I went through 3 days of induced labor, followed by an emergency c-section and 4 days in recovery, a total of 7 days, she never checked in on me once. On my follow up she asked me how it went! She didn't even read my file!!

The doctor is fine, but the office runs very inefficiently. To be seen, one goes to the examining room, then waits in a waiting area, and then depending on the situation, you may go back to the examining room or speak to the doctor. On one occasion, I was moved (5) times, it's like playing musical offices. Most of the staff at the Rego Park location do not have enough experience to deal with patients; they are pleasant but inefficient.
