Very Positive Inpatient Experience
Dr Gonzales gave clear information and reinforcement throughout my stay in rehabilitation. I felt confident in her medical skills and knowledge of biomedical devices geared to specific deficits. She has a vast “storeroom” of practical information such as support agencies to refer patients to, management of insurance negotiations, social service and case management information and patient friendly suggestions of all kinds. So very important is Dr Gonzales’ ability and willingness to listen to her patients and to her treatment team. Quietly compassionate, kind she can motivate a boulder (me) to want to work at regaining lost ground and building on that base to attain best level of functioning. Finally, Dr Gonzales was able to impart a sense of worthiness to me. Without the efforts of her and her team, in an amazingly short time, I wouldn’t be going home but to somewhere for more rehabilitation or to a nursing home type setting. She has my eternal gratitude.

I am very disappointed in the way billing and paying of bills is handled: no way to pay on the internet (how about joining the 21st century)? Also, I tried to pay by phone, only to be taken through a 5 minute ordeal where I had to enter various things (ID #, DOB, phone number, etc.) only to be told that the office was closed and I'd have to call back. How about saying that up front? The lack of caring for the patient experience shows. Charge $1 more and sign up for internet payments.

She is very unfriendly. I say that because the way she treats you while you are lying in bed in the hospital. Never smiles. I guess you could just say terrible bedside manner. She also doesn't seem to even really care as she always seems to be in such a hurry. In and out within a minute and bills you over $150.00.
