Dr. Mary Leary, MD

Walked in for my yearly obgyn appointment and she immediately commented that I had gained weight (about 20 lbs) since my last appointment a year prior. Throughout the appointment, she CONSTANTLY talked about my weight. She mentioned that I needed to lose weight now because it is easier to lose later. She doesn't know this, but I was severely underweight in high school, so being a bit overweight is actually a good change for me. But, she kept making rude comments about it with no regard to my feelings. At one point I told her that I had recently got a gym membership, to which she replied, 'are you actually going to use it?' She also asked me if my boyfriend was overweight, which is COMPLETELY irrelevant. She ended my appointment by 'jokingly' saying that she hopes that I lose those 20 pounds by my next appointment, otherwise I shouldn't come back. Overall, the experience was honestly traumatic and it is clear that she has no empathy for other people. Avoid her at all costs.

She listens and shows concern for your issue.

Dr. Leary is very nice

The doctor did not listen to me at all. I literally said I was not interested in an IUD and she came in only with a pamphlet about IUDs. When I told her I don't think I'm interested she just kept pushing it.

Dr Leary is always caring and professional

I really like Dr. Leary. She was nice, friendly and easy to talk to.

This was my first visit which I made from a referral. Dr. Leary did not disappoint. I found her to be very friendly, competent, professional and client-centered. She has a great sense of humor which helps to put one at ease.

I am looking forward to working with Dr. Leary to take care of my issues.

Dr. Leary was extremely dismissive of me. She was not willing to engage with me to discuss the root cause of my issues. She continually referred to a pamphlet that I should just read instead of her actually speaking to me. After reading the packet, the information she spoke to me was blatantly contradictory.

Dr .Leary was very professional but yet made me feel at ease to discuss any issue .

I would highly recommend Dr Leary as she is easy to communicate with and familiar with issues and concerns for women of my age.

My visit couldn't be better. Unless they served wine.

This was my first time seeing Dr Leary. She was succinct and business-like. She answered all of my questions and made a difficult experience much easier.

Dr Leary and I talk like old friends. It's easy open conversation. Wonderful woman!

I had been in the room waiting & on the phone with my boyfriend telling him how upset I was that my appointment was taking so long & that I'd be late to work. Mary walked in & said "Is everything with work okay?" Not sure if she was being condescending or what, but if she heard me that well, then I could only assume she already knew work wasn't well since I was running late because of their office. I responded to her that "I wouldn't know because I've been waiting over an hour for service & now I'm running late." She seemed surprised by my response, so I have a feeling like she genuinely didn't know I was waiting that long, but I wait that long. Every. Single. Time I'm in the office.

Dr. Leary is a wonderful doctor who listens and is very kind and professional.

Dr.Leary is an outstanding physician. She is very helpful and knowledgeable.

She's a little brusque and matter-of-fact. I have a hard time imagining myself opening up to her about delicate matters. But she seems knolwdgeable.
