Dr. Mary Mitchell, DO

Dr. Mitchell was the first doctor I’ve ever had who trusted me to know that something was wrong, and then she worked tirelessly to help me. Her approach to met my needs was exactly what I needed. I wish that she were still practicing in my area, because I have found no one who compares to her.

No bedside manner. Doesn’t listen. Rude and lacks empathy. Rushes through the exam. Argumentative. I would stay clear of this doctor. Strange that she makes no eye contact with patient or caregiver. My worst experience with a doctor by far!

I strongly and sincerely recommend Dr. Mary Mitchell and the professional, caring and attentive AllCare Columbia staff. After visiting over a half-dozen other medical professionals, I was beginning to lose hope in my battle with a variety of disparate and debilitating physical symptoms. Where so many others had failed, Dr. Mitchell managed to connect the dots in my case file and prescribe a course of treatment that has significantly improved my quality of life and state of emotional well-being. Dr. Mitchell was the fourth doctor I saw over the last year. The first three dismissed my symptoms and basically told me to take aspirin. Dr. Mitchell was the first one that listened. She got an appointment with a specialist asap. Turns out, I had a real medical problem! The specialist was surprised my primary caught it so quickly since it was tricky and the symptoms were kind of vague. Then a few weeks later after my appointment Dr. Mitchell called to check-in and make sure I was doing ok. I get the feeling that she's busy, but genuinely cares and WORKS HARD for her patients.

This doctor was very thoughtful when I saw her in the office. She listened to my complaints and patiently addressed all of my concerns.

My visit was not pleasant. She was very impatient and kept interrupting me. She gave off a vibe that she better things to do and gave a deep sigh when I asked her to repeat some of her directions. The people in the office said this is normal behavior.
