Good for some not for me
No real bedside manner to speak off. I was assigned to Dr Mooers by Dr Webb. Huge mistake. The best advice she and her bitter obese aid Laurie recommended I find another provider. Happy ever since with Dr Mark Oliver and Dr Smith.

I have seen Dr. Mooers on several occasions. With every visit she listens to what is needed to be heard. She appreciates your time. I have had discussions with her regarding several things. At time we have disagreed and I have had to get her to understand. But in turn she has had to do the same for me. The thing that I like most is that she knows the frustration one feels but she will not be a pushover and give into your wants if they are not needed. With a clear understanding of her obligations and mine she works hard to find an equal stance.

My first visit I waited 2 hours to see the doctor. Mooers appears to be a robot who has lost the ability to listen and respond with empathy and compassion. Having survived HIV for over 35 years I have seen many doctors and had to advocate for myself at times to be heard and understood. Mooers appears to be burned out and has lost touch with what it means to be a human living with a chronic condition. I do not post warnings like this lightly but beware, I can not think of a personality type that would benefit from Mooers style and approach. I would seriously worry for my life if I actually had something wrong with me that required this doctor to be in charge of my care. Lastly, sharing sensitive information with this doctor is NOT safe and should be trusted with someone else. When I asked for this information to be confidential and not put in notes, it was not honored! BTW Mooers I now get to see the case notes you write because of insurance technology improvements, a disgrace.

She is extremely intelligent and compassionate. She sums up the situation quickly. She is matter-of-fact. These traits give her a specific personality so she could be misunderstood. For this reason, give her a second chance. She was my doctor for 20 years, but she switched specialties so obviously I miss her. Her medical assistant was not the picture of health which I think a medical assistant should be.

Dr. Mary Moores is rude and unavailable to patients. She is extremely inefficient at communicating test results to patients. In fact.. I got so tired of waiting on her I went to another clinic and had them run the same tests and get me results before Dr. Moores even did..

I waited 35 min before I saw the doctor. I asked the nurse to hide my weight since I'd been working out. She said she would but didn't. Then I waited for Dr. Moores to finish her lunch. I'm all for people eating--don't schedule patients during your lunch hour. Dr. Moores didn't know about Metformin and wanted to take me off of it. She tried pressuring me into a tetanus combo shot with horrible side effects. I refused but told her I'd get it when I came back, knowing I'll never return.
