Dr. Mary Swanson, MD

I saw Dr. Swanson remotely in early 2020 as my regular provider at the same office was unavailable. She diagnosed one concern accurately. However, she told me I didn't "check off all the boxes" for her on another concern, my main presenting issue. She failed to take into account I had more than one presenting concern and ignored my description and the file of my medical history. As a result, she ultimately delayed treatment of a chronic issue and caused me to return to my regular doctor only days later as my condition declined. People are not textbooks, they are not going to "check off all the boxes" for you perfectly. If you want to be a patient-centered provider, you need to consider your patients holistically and listen to them or you are going to do more harm than good.
