As a medical health professional I was appalled by how she spoke to one of her patients and her poor judgements when it came to nutrition support. She was completely inconsiderate of the patient and her condition. She spoke in an unprofessional manner and was harsh. I have not heard any positive remarks from anyone who knows her or has worked with her. She is difficult and her old school ways are no longer appropriate ways to provide care. I would never recommend her to anyone.

I FEEL MY MOTHER IS OVER MEDICATED. I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET DR TAMARIS TO CALL ME BACK FOR 2 WEEKS.A DRS ASSISTANT SPOKE WITH ME ONCE AND CHANGED ONE MEDICATION, BUT MY MOTHER IS STILL OVER DRUGGED IN MY OPINION. NOW ALL I CAN GET IS A CALL BACK FROM A RECPTIONIST, WHO THEN TELLS ME A NURSE WILL CALL ME BACK BUT NEVER DID. tHIS DRS OFFICE MAKES ME FEEL LIKE I AM BOTHERING THEM ABOUT MY CONCERNS WITH MY MOTHER. I WOULD NEVER RECOMEND THIS DR AND IF I COULD GET A DIFFERENT DR FOR MY MOM I WOULD BUT WITH THE VIRUS I CANNOT.MY MOTHER WENT FROM HAPPY AND FULL OF LIFE TO A VEGTABLE STATE IN LESS THEN 6 MONTHS.

I would not take anyone to see Dr. Timiras. A close relative, who was in acute care rehab, was in need of hospice services and Dr. Timiras was not at all supportive and basically torpedo the process by stating hospice wasn't necessary. After a couple of weeks of numerous trips to the ER and wanting to die because of pain, the patient was taken to her primary care physician who immediately recommended hospice. Since being put in hospice the relative no longer has had to suffer.

This doctor may be curt, but then I don't need a doctor who is my best buddy, I need a doctor who listens and who has an open mind. She really knows her stuff.

I felt that she could use a refresher course in how to speak to patients. I found her course and abrasive. How about a more gentler approach. I'm sure you deal with this a dozen times a day but the patients do not. There should be a better way of breaking the news to your patients then telling them they've failed the test horribly, that there's not much you can do and that the drugs help some people slow the progression and boom your done. It's a lot to take in.
