In over 25 years of visiting doctors' offices, I have never encountered such unprofessionalism and outright disrespect. My experience with Dr. Sajjad’s office in Mesa, Arizona was by far the worst I’ve ever had — a truly disturbing interaction that left me shocked. The primary issue was with a staff member named Gabi, who displayed an appalling attitude — dismissive, condescending, and entirely lacking in basic courtesy. Her behavior bordered on narcissistic, as she repeatedly shifted blame onto us for things that made no sense. Rather than helping, she seemed intent on escalating the situation with smug, disrespectful comments that had no place in a healthcare setting. To top it off, the office attempted to justify their actions by claiming we weren’t there “45 minutes early” to fill out paperwork — despite us arriving 20 minutes early and already in the process of doing just that. It felt like an excuse to cover their own unpreparedness and lack of professionalism. I have hundreds of positive reviews for other offices and businesses, and I don’t take writing a negative one lightly. But this was a deeply disappointing and frankly disgusting experience. I would strongly advise anyone to avoid this practice entirely. No one deserves to be treated this way — especially in a place meant to care for people’s health.

Dr. Sajjad is one of the best doctors I have ever been to see. I would not even consider another internal medicine provider. He is extremely knowledgeable, takes his time with you, explains everything in detail, and truly cares about his patients and their overall health.

Mashood Sajjad has been my Doctor for about 5 years now. I'm very satisfied with him. He's very personable and I never feel rushed at an appointment. He takes time to listen and asks questions. With his foreign accent he is sometimes difficult to understand. But He ALWAYS is willing to repeat himself or find a different way to say the same thing to be sure you understand him. He is quick to refer you to someone else if needed and follows up on that referral. I'm a senior citizen and always feel respected not spoken down too. He makes me feel like he cares about my health and is interested in keeping me in as good health as is possible.

Really bad first impression
Arrived early for my 1st appt w/ Dr Mashood Sajjad to establish him as my new primary as mandated by my new Medicare provider. Checked in and I asked if they needed my information. Girl said no. Took four steps with my walker when lady called my name needing info. Grrr. She said girl was new. I was given a stack of papers to complete. I explained I had vision problems so someone would need to help me. Finally got thru paperwork and was then told I took too long and they would have to reschedule appt. Told them no; not acceptable. Justifying it was their fault. Why didn't they call me back and to bring papers with me. I typed out a list of my meds, drs & ailments. But they would not accept them because it was not on their forms. I got so angry that a dr refused to see me (even though I am so very sick) because of their new girl let me sit there missing the allotted appt time. BTW the waiting room was empty at that point. Needless to say I am looking for a new primary doctor.

I've been seeing doctor Mashood Sajjad for several years. I really feel at ease with him as my PCP. He takes time to explain issues in a very straight forward manner and responds to questions well. It is reassuring to know that when I go into the office that I will be seeing him and not get whoever is rotating through the office that day as may occur in some large practices or HMOs.

I have been a patient of Dr. Mashood Sajjad’s since 2017. Dr. SAJJAD has earned my trust and confidence. He has been thorough in assessing my physical issues (I have several) and made referrals when necessary. He is one of the best physicians I have ever chosen. In reading other reviews, a common complaint is that he doesn’t return phone calls. It’s been my experience that most physicians no longer return phone calls as it is time consuming and eats into their office time, as well as personal time. Dr. SAJJAD does encourage patients to call the office, speak to one of the office staff who will rely a message to him. The doctor will either provide an answer or request an office appointment. I often recommend Drs. Mashood & Madiha SAJJAD to family and friends, they are both excellent - both are bright, well-educated, and provide quality comprehensive care.

I have been with Dr Sajjad for many years & am finally finding another Dr. He was great in the beginning buying the last couple of years the ignored paperwork, unreturned calls, prescriptions not being sent when they said they were. I have a damaged knee, went back to him made an appointment wit the orthopedic specialist they recommend and to make a long story short they want me to spend unnecessary monies for a consent to light duty note Until the specialist figures out the problem. I'm done.

Horrible Dr. Never returns phone calls, getting refills on medication is impossible since she doesn't return calls. Save your co-pay find a doctor who actually cares.

I took my 84 year old mother to Dr. Sajjad. She recently moved into the area, has multiple health issues and needed a primary care doctor. He spent over an hour with us and was very thorough. He was very caring and kind. He was very knowledgeable about all of her issues and could treat all of her ailments without us having to go to several specialists. Would highly recommend! My only negative was the office personnel - were friendly but did not seem very professional.

Pointedly ignored several questions regarding the issue I had come in to discuss, steered exam toward areas not of concern at present. When pressed on the medical concern I had come in about, I was told both that it would need to be reviewed by a specialist, and that it was not that important/the associated chronic pain might be something to learn to live with. Patients seem primarily elderly, so perhaps that was the issue. Not a practitioner I plan to see again, despite accepting my insurance.

I first saw Mashood when he opened his practice in Mesa. My visit with him was thorough and informative. As he has gotten more patients his office staff has gotten sloppy and his bedside manner has really declined.
