Dr. Macfield has been wonderful with all my children. She was the first Peditrician to ask about their diet and really care about nutrition!

Lively doctor, practice needs help
I love the Doctor Macfield but it is a nightmare everytime we go. All we have done is wellness visits, and 45 minute wait, EVERY time. We scheduled extra early today as the front desk said we wouldn’t have a wait. Woke my baby up early to go. And… stuck waiting 45 minutes again. Not sure if that’s mismanagement by the staff overbooking. But making a baby wait that long never goes well for the mom and dad. I dread her checkups now.

We have been with Dr. Masuma 6 years and we absolutely love her. I agree that sometimes the office staff and MAs have not been great, which is unfortunate. But she is definitely worth overlooking some of the staff. Currently they all seem to be ok. She is very warm and caring and so patient with kids. She offers her medical opinion while still respecting the parent’s choice. We are so lucky to have her as our pediatrician.

Sadly, I'm editing my original 5 star comment. We used to Love The MacFields, and had been with them almost since they opened. Dr Masuma would even go so far as calling on the weekends to make sure that our chronically ill children were doing better, if they were in the office earlier in the week. Then things started going downhill, at a fairly rapid rate. The MA's, PA's, and NP's started coming, and going. We figured they were just going through "growing pains", and figured they might just have really "high standards". Boy were we wrong. The office started to get dirtier at every visit, the wait for the Dr at the visits started getting longer, and longer, and longer. The last visit, for a scheduled well child check, was 1hr 45 minute wait, for a FIVE minute visit, and I wish I was exaggerating. I couldn't get ANY vaccines for him, as they stopped doing "Medicaid vaccines", I couldn't talk about ANY chronic illnesses my son had, it was ONLY about his "6 year visit". I was furious!

We love Dr. Masuma!! I have to respond to the previous reviewer - I had the same issue with the MA but visited today and they have all new staff and seem to be remedying the issue. The biller, Shirley, is someone I have CURRENT issues with though. Dr. Masuma is a wonderful doctor who takes time with each of your kids. She’s patient and my kiddos love her. We truly couldn’t ask for more in a pediatrician. In addition, the medical assistant who administered my kids’ shots was amazing today!

We love Dr Masuma, but like others have said, there are some big issues in the office. First: the MA. She didn’t know what a common condition was when I called for advice. I had to spell it for her and explain it despite it being in the chart. She also shared detailed stories re: her failed birth control (and resulting kids)...grossly unprofessional. Second: their biller. The woman will NEVER answer/return your calls and actually swore at and hung up on my sister who left the practice. HORRIBLE

Like others have said, I really tried to make it work here, I love the natural approach to things, but they are HORRIBLE! Completely unorganized and the worst communication!! I would never recommend this place! The dr even left us in the room one day and went home, I was stuck there for 2 1/2 hours with three children and the only compensation I received was 10$ dollars off my bill! This place is ridiculous!

I usually don’t leave reviews but after reading some of them on here I knew I had to. They don’t even sound like the dr I’ve been coming to for years. I highly recommend Dr Masuma as a pediatrician. Yes it’s true there have been some staff issues but I see they are working to fix that. I’m a business owner myself and I know how hard it is to get good help. Dr. Masuma has always went above and beyond for my family. She truly cares about her patients and actually spends time with us.

Dr Macfield is great. She doesn't force antibiotics, vaccines or other unnecessary things on you. She listens to us as parents and doesn't make you feel stupid if you don't understand something. She recommends alternative natural remedies like essential oils, Apple cider vinegar, etc. Her office staff struggles sometimes but it's definitely worth it to continue to see her because she is one of a kind. We love her!!

Extremely unorganized and poorly managed office. I had an appointment scheduled that didn't need to be. I had to take the afternoon off from work to find this out. I called the insurance coordinator several times and never recieved a return call. Was told I was "in-network" which was inaccurate. The office was more worried about my balance because I was out-of-network than seeing my child. The doctors will try to upsell you in their vitamins. Stay away from this place.

I switched my entire family over to this office back in April 2018. I left after 7 weeks. The office itself is very dirty. The staff is very unprofessional and lies if they make a mistake. The Drs do not return calls or emails over their portal. Claim to be have alternative vaccine schedules but will cancel you as a patient if you ask to many questions. I have emailed 3 or 4 times, stopped into the office and called a few dozen and no responses. They have avoided me for the last 3 wks.

This woman put my 8 year old child at risk and then sent a letter that she would no longer treat him. We moved 6 months ago to EGR and needed to continue a medication (common steroid) that my son uses a few times a year when he cannot breathe. She stated at the start that we would need to see an ENT which I readily agreed to even though we have seen many and know the protocol that works. Still, she continued to insult and patronize me. I was horrified by her manner and inability to communicate.

I was referred to this office and was very disappointed in the office staff and dr. Masuma. I was rushed by Dr. when going over treatment plan. After appointment I had question regarding medicine prescribed and never received call back from dr. They use a patient portal system and I personally emailed her, the MA and the front desk and received no reply. Finally talked to front desk and was told to make appointment to talk with dr. Terrible office staff and follow up from Dr.

Dr. Masuma is an incredible healthcare provider. She is so knowledgeable and cares so much about her patients. She is kind and caring, which is so helpful when you have a sick baby and need some guidance and encouragement. Every time I leave her office I feel educated and more prepared to care for my family. I just can't say enough good things about her!
