Highly recommended shoulder & knee surgeon
Dr Boes has performed rotator cuff repair and bilateral knee replacements for me. Well educated and experienced with a great “bedside manner”, he is a very thorough, caring, and honest physician and surgeon. Highly recommended

Worth the drive
I just happened to choose Dr Boes last year and I couldn’t be more pleased. He performed a minor procedure on my knee and I’ve had no issues. Today’s visit was a follow-up (for my own peace of mind) and once again, I’m thankful I chose to drive an hour to see him. Great bedside manner, uses terminology and explanations that anyone can understand and super compassionate.

Very thankful!
Saw Dr. Boes today for ACL repair. Great guy upon meeting him! Very knowledgeable, kind and straight to the point, but not in a bad way. He said exactly what I wanted & needed to hear as a second opinion. Will definitely be choosing him as my surgeon. Looking forward to great, long lasting results from him and his team!

Always helpful and knowledgeable..
Raleigh Orthopedic is our One Stop Shop for Orthopedic care. They supply not only Emergency care but also planned Surgical and followup Physical Therapy to fully resolve our issues. I have had two serious injuries that were handled by Raleigh Orthopedic that were both handled with patience, care, and professionalism. This now my third visit concerning a new injury, to my right knee, Dr Boes was very helpful and while surgery most definitely was an option, he suggested delaying a surgical repair to see if my body would resolve the issue by strengthening exercises prescribed.. We now have a revisit in 6 weeks to address any remaining issues..We love Raleigh Orthopedic!!!

I went to Dr. Boes for a second opinion on treatment needed for meniscal tear in my knee, and he explained his recommended surgery and how it differed from that offered by the first expert (less complicated, shorter recovery time). He reviewed all of the records from the first surgeon before the appointment, and so was focused on everything I had to say.

Knowledge, poor bedside manner
Dr. Boes seems like a very experienced and knowledgeable physician, but his demeanor was somewhat off putting. He was visibly annoyed when I mentioned I recently did the exact course of action he recommended, but I was stilll dealing with pain. He asked in a curt manner “what do you want to do then?” After I explained I simply wanted to do whatever course of action is the best option to fix my issue long term, he stated shortly “ this is the best option “ & that was the end of the conversation.
