Dr. Matthew Burton, MD

Really didn't get to talk to the doctor, only the nurse practitioner and he wasn't that great. If I asked a question, he seemed to struggle to find an answer. What can you expect, he's not a doctor.

The doctor wouldn't see me but so said recommended surgery without so much as offering another option. I have other options that work for my condition, but being i went through the VA, it seems all these people want is that quick surgery money.

I was sent to Dr. Matthew for a second opinion on my lumbar & sacral issues. He validated my symptoms & didn't dismiss my issues. He was very clear about all treatment options & why I may or may not be s good candidate for certain ones. He seemed to care more about a patients quality of life than simply performing as many surgeries as possible to make a buck.

He actually shakes your hand, not just holds it

Very friendly staff. The office was able to get me in quickly. Dr and assistant were very knowledgeable and informative.

Dr Burton is absolutely awesome. He is very straight and to the point. His staff is nothing but professional and caring. Thank you all for taking care of my back.

Doctor Burton and his staff are very helpful and very knowledgeable about everything. Doctor Burton was referred to me by my old primer care doctor. Doctor Burton have been came more like friends instead of patient and doctor he preformed my two spinal fusions and he just did my big back surgery almost two weeks ago he made sure he explained everything to me where I understand and the day of surgery he made sure he kept in touch with my husband whom was waiting for me to get out of surgery. I will recommend him and his staff to all my friends and family

I had an MRI and met with Dr. Burton. He went over results and recommended a fusion. I gave the go ahead for surgery and never heard back from his office. After a month passed,I called the office, they told me they were waiting for insurance approval. I called my insurance and they never received a request for approval. Two and a half months later, they called to say they were following up about my surgery. I informed them that after no calls from them and no explanation I did call them 3 times, that I was seeing another neurosurgeon and had surgery scheduled. This was the worst service ever. Obviously he is either too busy or has terrible office staff. I will never recommend Dr. Burton. This is no way to run a medical practice.

Dr Burton was very through with the explanation of what was my issue with my lower back. Along with what would be the best avenue of treatment to proceed with at this time, along with other options if that should be required.

Long story short basically misdiagnosed me and I had to travel 3 hours to get better medical care. Also has terrible bedside manner. Would not recommend at all.

I was terrified to have surgery. I knew I needed it. I’d seen another neurosurgeon in town, but something felt “off”. From the moment Dr, Burton came into the room I knew he’d be the one doing my surgery. I NEVER saw a nurse practitioner or an associate. Dr. Burton takes the time to see all of his patients at every appointment. He listened to me. What others may perceive as dismissive, I saw as confidence. Any concern I had during my healing process was never a concern to him. He was and has been right every single time. This man saved my life. I regret waiting 2 years to have my back surgery. He is currently treating me for facial/neck pain and I am once again pleased with my results. I highly recommend Dr. Burton to any and every one.

The care I received from Dr. Burton was exceptional. They listen attentively to my concerns and provided a personalized treatment plan, with positive results. The entire team at the office displayed a high level of professionalism and make me feel very comfortable every time I walk through the door!!

Very informative about the problem and curing the problem. Sits and listens and is never in a hurry to leave the room.

Everyone in the office are very nice. Wait time is not long. Dr. Burton is very kind and honest from my experience.

How he entered the room made you feel comfortable and felt like you was talking to a friend and he was on top of his game and made you feel good with the problem at hand!

Dr. Burton was very professional and very considerate of what I had to say about my condition. He was honest and never pressure me to do any procedures that I wasn’t comfortable with. He gave the facts, neg and positive for me to make my own decisions, it was very refreshing to experience this honesty. I recommend anyone to see Dr. Burton if I could.

I love how relaxed Dr burton is, it feels like talking to your friend! He listens to all your complaints and concerns and approaches them with care! He explains everything in ways you can understand and doesn’t use huge words! His staff is great too! Even my kids enjoy going because of the staff! Dr burton is also pretty easy on the eyes if ya know what i mean ??

Seen Dr Burton twice. On the 2nd visit he pretty much dismissed us without much of an explanation. Said he wanted me to see another physician and would call me and let me know. No phone call from him and when we called the office the receptionist gave us the name of the other doctor. Called that office and they had no idea what we were talking about and would not schedule us an appointment. We would not recommend Dr. Burton.

When I met Dr. Burton he was very straight forward and explained that this was a complex problem and recovery will be long an at sometime painful. He has followed up on questions I have asked. He gives good advice and coaching

Dr Burton was easy to talk to and we came up with a plan right away.
