Unlikely
I came for a tooth extraction. First thing offered was the option to use nitrous oxide (laughing gas) during the procedure (extra $250, not covered by insurance). Second, a special anesthetic implant to insure no pain after the procedure (like nitrous, $250, uncovered). this made me think this was a bigger deal than I originally believed and so I opted for the extra charge for the gas. I know how going up on nitrous and coming down off nitrous feels. I experienced neither which makes me wonder. I told Dr. Clark that codeinl#3 for pain works just fine and is about 5 cents per tablet. He wrote an Rx for five of them which, worst case, would have lasted through dinnertime and not cost $250. Additionally, another Rx for Ibuprofen which, since it was by prescription, cost about three times what an equivalent amount of over-the-counter would have cost. In my humble opinion only, this is fund raising, stingy pain management, questionable “general anesthesia” and not dentistry.

Great clinician, questionable procedures, billing
I have no doubt Dr. Clark did a great job with my daughter's wisdom teeth removal. But buyer beware, he recommended additional unnecessary expensive procedures. The extraction was described as 'easy' and almost unnecessary for 2 of the 4, but he still pushed an expensive additional anesthesia and a platelet procedure, costing an extra $1500 not covered by insurance. You have to pay up front, they won't run secondary dental insurance until afterwards, my reimbursement went to them which was held for almost a month before they sent me a check, and only after deducting more money out. I asked other medical professionals about the extras, was told the long acting anesthesia 'just doesn't work, and not being used anymore,' and 'highway robbery' for the platelet procedure which is usually for chronic injuries that don't heal. Maybe medical professionals wouldn't do this if insurance companies actually paid them fairly up front. Just look closely at the estimate and ask a lot of questions!

Horendous experience with Dr. Matthew Clark, DDS
My experience with Facial and Oral Surgery Specialist and Dr. Matthew Clark especially was in conclusion horrendous! During my consultation with him, he expressed confidence in performing the procedures I am interested in having. After the consultation, I wanted to proceed in due time – I am probably a year out from being ready for surgery – with him performing the surgical procedures I want and need. Today, after I made a final third attempt to find out about whether he accepts insurance, his office told me that Dr. Clark wanted to talk with me. This evening, Dr. Clark called me to say that 'we are not the right fit' without giving me the benefit of providing any specifics. Plus, Dr. Clark said that he didn’t think he could meet my expectations for surgery. Actually, Dr. Clark and I didn’t discuss my expectations. As of 11 days ago, Dr. Clark was expressing confidence to me that he could and would perform my surgery. What a jolting awkward experience and a waste of my time!

Super nice, calm and collected. Takes the time to talk and discuss options. I have a serious dental anxiety, and he made me super relaxed. He took out all 4 of my wisdom teeth. Would absolutely recommend Dr. Clark!
