Very talented and intelligent
I had a total knee replacement and was able to completely recover very quickly. Six months to a year and I never thought about my knee again. It has brought me much better health! I can walk upwards to 15,000 steps on a treadmill almost every day of week.Thank you Dr Crawford!

I’m a triathlete - I had a GREAT experience here!
Dr. Crawford and his office staff were very attentive to my needs: torn labrum, with a Half Ironman in 6 months. After examining my MRI (I had it sent to him; my primary doc ordered it), he AND his aMAZING, professional, brilliant P.A., Mandi Amburn, suggested PRP, as a possible ALTERNATIVE to surgery, which would definitely have kept me out of the race. It doesn’t work for everyone OR every body part, but how many orthos even OFFER an alternative to surgery??! I had the PRP procedure on my left shoulder on June 30, 2022 - KNOWing, that it might not work, and then we’d know that surgery was the solution. I took my first swim in mid-July, light weights end of July, (didn’t affect my run or bike too much, but kept it ez) - trained smart & consistently (no PT), and Oct. 15, 2023 I swam 1.2 miles, biked 56 miles and ran 13.1 miles at IM 70.3 North Carolina. Felt great. I still dont lift heavy … PS: The tri was on m 70th birthday! Thank you, Dr. C. and MANDI AMBURN, PA!

Never refer anyone overweight to this doctor. All he talked about was the paleo diet, why it is proven, what fish to buy. He did not give me a diagnosis, a plan, or offer me any help for my need today. His bedside manner was not just poor but missing all together. He did not see any of my cues as being emotional, that I've signed up to work with a personal trainer, that I was uneducated about my body but wanted to learn. I was prepared for some straight talk and weight discussion. But he had no conversation with me about the knee... except that he thought it could be a worn or torn meniscus. He did not discuss x-ray, invite me or let me ask questions, didn't tell me what to do as far as movement, ice, PT, wear a brace or not... anything relevant. He said we would talk after I got an MRI. I was dismissed due to my weight. As he left the office my jaw was on the floor and he asked someone "so should we pick Vail or Telluride". I left without solution, mortified, and heartbroken.

Dr. Crawford has been there for my family for years. We were first introduced to him at North Austin Med Center (now St. David's). He has dealt with us when my daughter had a fractured heel, multiple sprained ankles, etc. He was even nice enough to squeeze me in after hours to inject some cortisone in my hand/thumb that had been locking and in pain for 4 months (I don't like doctors). He gets 5 stars from me.

Dr is a joke. Would rather have patients in pain and drag out treatment for as long as possible instead of treating the problem

I would stay far away from Crawford. He’s unprofessional. I have never written commentary on anyone’s services, but I’m going out of my way to ensure others know about him and his staff. I have been a trial lawyer for 20 years and work with hundreds of athletes and gyms through my entrepreneurial ventures, and I have yet to experience such unprofessionalism. I am an active person, and when I had a knee injury, I was recommended Crawford through my MDVIP doctor. The long waits in his office were a troubling sign, considering many of the patients were angry in the waiting room. In my first two initial meetings, Crawford was kurt and not listening, likely due to the other people waiting after me. Every time I’ve been there, I’ve noticed people angry in the waiting room. I signed up for a meniscus tear surgical procedure and asked for a knee brace, and they made me pay over $100 for the knee brace even though they explained to me that these knee braces were typically given out afte

I injured my leg while playing on sand at the beach. My foot sank into the sand and the part of leg above the knee twisted. It's a very common way to tear your ligament. I explained all this to Dr.Crawford. He ordered both x-ray and MRI. Despite that he misdiagnosed and told me I only had a bone injury. He gave me an expensive brace and assured my knee would heal pretty soon. When I went for a follow-up a month later, my knee had become very stiff. His assistant found out I had an ACL tear!!

Dr Crawford performed a total knee replacement for me which is a total success. It has not been 3 months yet and I am getting around great and continuing the needed exercises and physical therapy. He explained the procedure very detailed and I was pleased it was in layman's terms. Great Assistance helped before and after surgery. I have recommended him to several people. Thanks Doc!

am of those who only write reviews as a result of incredibly good or incredibly bad experiences. This review is the former as I could not be more pleased with the quality of care Dr. Crawford provided to me. I am admittedly a bad patient and prefer as little medical intervention as possible. When I broke my wrist, I was told by another orthopedist my only option was surgery. Troubled by this prognosis, I turned to Dr. Crawford for a second opinion.

Finally a doctor that treats you like you have a brain! While he explained everything to you in simple enough terms, he was willing to listen to questions and felt like you truly knew your own body. He did surgery on me and it went well- easy in and out. Recovery is going great!
