Dr. Matthew Folstein, MD

I had 2 inguinal hernias and ventral hernia repaired. Dr. sat down with my wife and I, showed the CT scan of where the repairs needed to be done. He took time to explaining how, where and why the surgery needed to be done. His staff is excellent. Follow up was done by a very knowledgeable NP, who also took time to answer questions post surgery. If you didn't get your questions answered, then you didn't ask them. Any questions I had before and after surgery were all answered satisfactory. The Dr. was very passionate and patient with me as I had many questions that needed answered. I would highly recommend him.

Dr Folstien saved my daughters life and saved my husband. I would highly recommend Dr Folstien. He talked with us after emergency surgery for my daughter and before and after my husband’s surgery. He sat down with us, explained everything in detail. He answered all our questions and made us feel comfortable. Made it known he was available if we needed him after release.

Seemed very thorough at first appt. Did not see him prior or after surgery which was a disappointment. Received very little information as far as diet or time needed to be off work. I had to wait for my 2 week follow up to ask questions about the actual surgery. With issues still after surgery I tried to speak to them more about what I was experiencing but unless it was about the actual surgery, they wouldn't do anything more for me. Very disappointing and wouldn't recommend.
