I broke my ankle while visiting in Missouri and had to make the 10 hour drive back to Michigan in a soft cast. Fortunately my neighbor recommended Dr. Hansen and he saw me right away. It was a really bad break so he told me if I did exactly what he said I could get back to normal. He operated and fixed my ankle with hardly any scar. I found him absolutely trustworthy with a fantastic group of people in his office. They treated me like family and I'll never forget their kindness. Dr. Hansen listens and studies your situation to give you the best outcome. I listened and he was right, I'm back to normal and very grateful.

Dr Hanson performed my second bunion surgery and once again did a fabulous job! I would never see another foot doctor great office staff as well Dr Hanson not always an excellent doctor and surgeon , but he has a wonderful bedside manner huge thumbs up!

Dr. Hansen is very knowledgeable and professional . Came in for a foot issue he quickly assessed what was going on. The office staff set up an appoinment prompty that was convient for my schedule.Everything is healed now and i am doing great .Thank you for your prompt care .Highly recommend for anyone needing podiatry care .

I had a surgical fracture repair of my 5th metatarsal recently. On my first appt to his office Dr Hansen sat with me and fully explained the surgical repair that was required for the best outcome. My surgery went seamlessly and I experienced almost zero pain. I followed all of the aftercare and was able to walk with no difficulty after 6 weeks. I would refer anyone I know to him for a surgery and was so impressed with my care.

I had struggled with a foot condition for several years and 2 Dr’s. I went to Dr. Hansen and he recognized immediately what my issue was and performed surgery. I no longer have any foot issues.

Scheduling an appointment has been very easy. When I’ve called to schedule an appointment I was given an appointment the next day. Dr. Hansen has treated my Osteoarthritis and have received such relief after my visit’s.

My primary doctor recommended Great Lakes Foot and Ankle and I had my choice of which office to go to . I definitely picked the right one . Dr Hansen is wonderful . He did surgery on my left foot and it turned out awesome . I cried when I saw the outcome as I was just thrilled how great it looked . Dr Hansen explained everything so well , and answered all of my questions . I can't wait until September when I get the other foot done !!!

I've been a patient of Dr. Hansen's for over 16 years. Eight years ago, I moved from (literally) 1 mile, to 44 miles from his office. When I find someone good I stay with them! I can always get in quickly and not much of a wait (well managed). Both Offices I've been to (Chesterfield & Clinton Township) are nice, clean and the people working there are always nice. Dr. Hansen takes the time to get to know you a little, and listen to your issues. He offers multiple resolutions prior to any surgery. His 'bedside manner' will put you at ease. I spent a career in the Army and have always had an issue with ingrown toenails, high arches, and planter fasciitis. I don't like needles and Dr. Hansen knows it. He, and his staff, use a liquid spray numbing agent before the 'poke.' You don't even feel it! He's also operated (as a last resort) on both my feet for plantar fasciitis with great results. Dr. Hansen has kept me 'in the game' for the last 16 years. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! You won't go wrong!

Dr. Hansen, performed Sesamoid surgery, in June 2023 I had a wound on bottom of my foot!Finally I had the surgery! The procedure was, 100 percent successful! The healing time was about, three weeks. Dr. Hansen is a skilled surgeon, where some surgeons, push you right to surgery, he tried patiently, with different methods first! I finally had to have the surgery! I could have saved time, had I listened, when he recommended surgery! Trust him when he tells you, what is needed. I wish management, would keep him at the Garfield office? Now he is only there on Friday’s. Working at three, different places, surely has to be incredibly tiring! Management, please keep him in one place, easier on the doctor, much easier on the patients!

Dr. Hanson is a very kind, carrying and extremely knowledgeable specialists. He has now done both my feet and I have to say it couldn't have been better. I only had one day of pain after surgery then it was more bothersome than anything. I don't know how he does it but it's true...... I highly recommend Dr Hanson to anyone seeking a great foot surgeon.

I went to see Dr Hansen for bunion removal surgery. He came recommended to me by several different patients. I could not be happier with my outcome. It was a long recovery but I felt like he was there for me every “step” of the way. The office staff was wonderful too. They are all very friendly and they were outstanding at filling out and submitting disability paperwork. It gave me less to worry about during recovery. I did find myself chatting and leaving without vital info (opps! I forgot to ask when I can drive again)! They are just a phone call away and get back with you quickly. I never had to wait very long in the office- always nice. I can’t wait to put my nice new, pain free foot into the sand this summer. I just hope that if I ever need surgery on my other foot that Dr Hansen will still be practicing.

I was very, very happy with Dr Hansen’s treatment and surgery of my bunions. Never had pain. I followed instructions and wearing regular shoes after 6 weeks. I would highly recommend Dr Hansen and his staff. Little waiting time and very friendly staff.
