Informed and Efficient
Had questions answered, mobility, pain, and discomfort evaluated, and received diagnosis in less than 5 minutes. Had a new prescription and MRI to schedule all by the end of the appointment. It goes fast so have questions prepared ahead of time.

Stick to shoulders
Unfriendly and really seemed uninterested. Gave me almost no after care instructions. That may be because he hardly examined me at all. I have been a nurse for 30 years. This exam was poor at best. Hopefully he is better with shoulders than hip injuries.

This was my first visit. The entire staff I dealt with was friendly and professional. They showed concern with my “injury”. I have a follow up in a month to see the outcome of his recommendation. I already have less discomfort.

Disapointed
Jones Fracture . 6 months of let down, and not treated. This man has ruined my life, mental health, and career! splint 1 month, cast 1 month, boot for 4 months. Hawkins says ..1st visit ..if you were an athlete then you would be getting surgery and put into a splint. 2nd visit ..... let's get a nerve study and put a cast on. 3rd visit.. starting to heal let's try a boot, and get an MRI. begin physical therapy, also see pain management, no weight bearing. 4th visit ..good news MRI came back negative, no need to see pain management, lightweight bearing still using your crutches. 5th visit ..it's not healing like expected, if you were in more pain than you are then we are scheduling surgery bone graph, and screw. 6 more weeks in the boot off crutches. 6th visit .possibly started to grow back, due to nerve pain, and loss of feeling in the foot we need to do another nerve study the first one was done at 5 weeks and it takes 6 weeks for the nerve pain to develop. It was done too early.

Charged for a visit with the wrong doctor.
When I called the office I explained the location on my foot of the growth/nodule, which has been present for several years. I explained the increase in size, asked to see a foot specialist and an appointment was scheduled with Dr. Hawkins. On May 5, 2023 after X-rays were taken, the doctor came in, briefly examined my left foot, showed me the x-ray and talked about arthritis. I commented that any pain I had seemed to be because of the increase in size of the growth and how my shoe size had increased; I asked if it could be removed. The answer I got was Dr. Hawkins is not a foot doctor, he does not do foot surgery, I'm flat footed and arthritic due to age. Therefore, the diagnosis is that my left foot needs to be in a brace and he can refer me to that doctor. I had a quick question about toes crossing on the other foot (did I dare ask?); he had the nurse bring in a plastic separator - cost $10.00. That was the end of the visit with the non-foot dr., after almost 2 hours there.
