Great doctor and office
Dr. Kneidel is great! He helped me heal without surgery and answered all of my questions. I found him to be kind and trustworthy. We even got some laughs when my friend and I made back to back appointments for the same injury. The staff seems happy and the office runs very efficiently

Fast, friendly, efficient
I was having significant foot pain. I was able to get an appointment within 5 days. Dr. Kneidel promptly diagnosed situation and his prescribed treatment alleviated the pain. I was impressed with his congeniality, responsiveness, and efficiency. I have had a number or orthopedic issues over the years: hips, knees, shoulder. This was the first foot problem and first time I saw Dr. Kneidel. My experience was clearly a 5 or a 5 scale.

Had ankle surgery Dec 6 in cast for 4 months. I move two hrs away and I change insurance. I go to a PT place where I moved, well they need a referral. Come to find out I’m “not their patient anymore” because they don’t accept my new insurance. Mind you I’ve been there no less than 10 times for follow up etc. last appointment there was no discussion about another appointment. I have to pay out of pocket to do PT for 150 a hit. Makes no sense

Cool Bedside Manner
I have seen Dr. Kneidel twice now. I broke my fibula in January '24 and received care from another orthopedic specialist until March of '24. While completing PT I started having more intense pain, this time in my Achilles region as opposed to the area of my break. I was able to get into Dr. K's practice quickly, however, upon meeting him I found his bedside manner to be cold. He seemed disinterested in my situation. He asked about pain and followed that up with a squeeze of my Achilles and pressure on the area of the break. I noted that it did hurt when he did that, although the area of the break does not typically hurt. On my more recent visit, I noted that the med he had prescribed for inflammation caused increased hunger and that I was hungry all the time, so I stopped taking it. He looked at me and said, 'Is that different from usual?' His demeanor gives off a vibe that he is too busy to take patient concerns seriously and that he is being inconvenienced by doing so.

Dr. Kneidel is an excellent Doctor
I had no problem getting an appointment. It was my first visit. He made me feel comfortable. Looked closely at my ankle and explained everything to me. Asked me if I had an questions. I didn't feel the least bit rushed. He had a nice young man show me how to strap up the Verco strips on my "boot". It was hard for me to master.

Had surgery on my foot and he turned the pain from mild to chronic and high after the surgery. He assured me for months this was normal. However another doctor assessed the situation and found his repair was not up to snuff. Save your time and see another doctor

Staff all seemed on edge....like they were in a cage with a lion. Doctor did not explain x-rays; seemed disinterested. I have never experienced such an unpleasant experience before. Co-pays should be explained when appointment is scheduled.

Well, from the information I have acquired through an in depth research on tarsel tunnel disease, and other foot and ankle issues, Dr Kniedel seems to be the most seasoned choice for my horrible chronic bilateral foot pain in the Kansas City proper. Met with staff and Drs assistant, everything good. Dr Kniedel sat with me for a brief conversation on my current state of pain, burning, and numbness in both lower feet and toes. I spoke to past conservative treatments and failed multiple steroidal injections by a prior pain management Dr. We then spoke to tentative short term plan of action. Nurse was kind and offered water as I had a very short wait for doctors written instructions.

Office staff, 5 stars, Nurse who checked me in and spoke with me longer than the physician, 5 stars. Unfortunately, I would not recommend Dr. Kniedel to anyone needing a foot and ankle specialist. I was very appreciative that I was able to get in for an appointment but didn’t feel that the physician was appreciative to have a patient in the open time slot. He was not in the room for longer than 2 minutes and very condescending . His bedside manner is poor and I felt spoken down to as if I was a waste of his time.
