Worst Doctor Visit Of My Life
I saw a resident physician at the Madsen Clinic and Dr Mulligan was the apparent supervising physician that day. After speaking with the resident regarding medication management of a condition I have been diagnosed with for over 25 years and medicated for over the last several years, Dr Mulligan came in and said that they would not prescribe or refill medication for me on a first visit and that they needed to review my patient records from my previous provider (out of state, I recently moved) before they would even consider continuing my treatment. I asked what the timeline of reviewing my files and scheduling a follow up visit would be and Dr Mulligan had no answer for me. He refused to even give me an estimate. I explained how urgent it was for me to get back on my medication as I've used the last of what I had. Dr Mulligan remained cold, and extremely rude in his response, even suggesting that maybe I needed to visit a psychiatrist if life was so difficult without my medication.

Stay away
I cannot recommend this provider. I agree with the other negative reviews. He is robotic with absolutely no sense of humor…I mean NONE. Out of the blue he said he wanted to do a procedure that I consider extremely embarrassing. But, I agreed. I have social anxiety so it was difficult for me to have just HIM in the room to perform this. I even sent my husband out of the room and said that this isn’t a spectator sport. And without even asking, he ran out and brought in a medical student to watch. I know that they need to learn, but I was mortified. He should have asked permission. I might have agreed, but he gave me no choice in the matter. My next appointment, that I’ve scheduled, will be with a different provider with whom other patients have highly recommended. I learned my lesson to do my homework first about providers.

Neglectful - doesn’t have great attention to detail. Talked me out of doing a blood test when I actually really needed it - turns out my issues could have resolved months sooner if he would have just accepted my request. Just generally did not seem that concerned with my well being.

The worst experience I have ever had. He acted like he didn't know anything about my circumstances and why I was there to see him. He wouldn't help me with medication mngmnt due to judging me from another providers experience . Do not go here at all costs.

Two appointments with this physician and we found someone much better. He's not recommended. If you are okay with not being listened to, talked over, treated like you're on an assembly line, and being lectured to by someone who barely knows you or has just met you, this is your sort of provider. There is no defensible reason for a physician to treat patients the way this provider does. A lot of ego and a hazard to one's health and well-being. His staff's relentless pursuit of your making unnecessary follow-up appointments with him that are for nothing specific is very strange and suspicious and something that has never been encountered before or since.
