Dr. Matthew Perry, MD

My teenage son and I were visiting Florida for a soccer tournament. My son awakened in pain and we immediately found ourselves in an emergency situation. Upon arrival at Sarasota Memorial Hospital every medical professional was helpful, in particular Dr. Perry, RNs Candice, Sandra, Sharon, (and night nurse from NoVA- I can't remember her name), and Dr. Patel. Dr. Perry arrived, immediately reviewed test results (almost immediately taken upon admission), manually addressed the injury possibly saving the body part, and then took him on a stretcher via elevator to the operation room. He quickly educated my son and I about the medical issue and pending surgery, comforted us (admittedly I needed it more than my son), and performed 1.5 hr surgery. We spent the night at the hospital for observation, flew home the next day, received positive feedback from two pediatricians and later another urulogist, and Dr. Perry then called me inquiring about my son's progress. Expert care from Dr. P!

Dr. Perry and staff recently performed 2 surgeries on me. The procedures went flawlessly and they took EXCELLENT care of me! At 92 years young, I could not have imagined how much better I would feel and that I would never feel any pain during recovery! Dr. Perry and staff are kind, dedicated and patient. I especially want to thank Dr. Perry and Denise for their professionalism and exceptional care during my procedures and follow up care. If you are fortunate enough to be able to make an appointment with Dr. Perry, you will not be sorry...they are the BEST!!!

He has been an amazing physician to my dad during a time where our family was already emotional and sensitive. I am a nurse, and felt helpless with the care he was receiving prior to finding Dr. Perry. I am forever grateful for his kindness, compassion, care, and dedication he shows to his patients. He was knowledgeable and honest, and worked around our complicated situation. Thank you Dr. Perry for all you did for our family!

Very knowledgeable, very friendly and open. He doesn't rush you out the door like most specialist. Very helpful pre and post surgery. In my opinion, they don't get any better. Give him a call you won't be disappointed.

I had an 8:20 appointment got there at 8:15 to fill out all my paperwork. Assistant brought me into the room, she was very pleasant and sweet. after doing what she had to do she took me into his office and I waited, and I waited, and I waited and Dr never showed up so I left at 9:30. Not a good start with a new patient.

2016, bilateral blockage of kidney stones. Excellent and timely surgery and results. Very knowledgeable and excellent listener. God's healing thru Dr. Perry and his team have been a blessing my wife and I. Thank you Dr. Perry

I was at Doctors Hospital ER in Lakewood Ranch this weekend.On Friday night I had a catheter inserted and had a follow-up on Saturday.At that time they recommended Dr. Perry for follow-up and to remove the catheter.They highly recommended him.I woke up today Monday and started calling at 8:15.I pushed (1) to schedule a new patient appointment.I just tried again (my 4th time)and still have not received a call back.Dr.Perry may be a great doctor.His office staff is not.Now I need to find a doctor

When I first met with Dr Perry, I was suffering from a severe enlarged prostrate , which was causing severe complications. he quickly diagnosed the situation and immediately began corrective medical procedures. I cannot say enough about how pleased I am as an ongoing patient of this fine physician.

Dr. Perry is the best doctor that I have ever been to.

Two hour wait for an appointment to remove a stent. Would not do the procedure. Hospital staff wouldn't give clear answers about lithotrypsy procedures.. One hour wait for my next appointment. He did remove the stent, but said he forgot to ask for a CT scan and wanted to get the scan before removing it. I insisted. Staff is nice, but office is cluttered and disorganized. As I waited post procedure two of the staff were trying to determine whose urine sample was on the counter
