Dismissed
Dismissed- After reading a few of his other reviews I am sorry to say I agree I felt completely dismissed! And disappointed, I waited 3 weeks to see him after I found out I had a Brain Aneurysm. I told him about my severe anxiety and high stress levels..he basically told me he does "BIG" brain procedures and would review my case with another Dr to see if he the other Dr would help me, 2 weeks later ...crickets I'm sorry my situation wasn't up to his standards for care & I'm GLAD they are not, but the level of care is sad. Hopefully I can get in with someone who will help me. All I needed was a referral! - also like the other bad reviews he told me to "watch" it! Ok no thank you

Dismissed brain tumor
My husband was admitted to OPR after having four seizures. The MRI showed a tumor on his brain and Dr. Pierson said that it looked benign and he recommended just watching it and having another MRI later. We got a second opinion and that neurosurgeon said he agreed it looked benign but would never leave anything on the brain to just watch. After surgery we got the pathology results back and were informed that despite the looks of the tumor, he had grade 4 glioblastoma. It's been two years and my husband is still alive. I don't know what would've happened to him had we left a grade four tumor on his brain. Always get a second opinion.

I had a very different experience with Dr. Pierson. I felt that he dismissed me completely. I am in pain daily and he acted like he didn't care. I don't think he is as experienced or knowledgeable in what I have been diagnosed with as the website implied.

Herniated a disc in my back that was not typical. Less than 5% are herniated in this fashion. Doctor had me upright and walking out the door and on my way for a Canadian fishing trip in 5 weeks. Would definitely recommend him very kind and compassionate. Excellent surgeon got me back to doing the things I love hunting and fishing.

My name is Larry Bernard. I am a retired high school principal of Russell High School in Russell, Kansas. Dr. Pierson recently completed two brain biopsies due to my brain cancer condition. My entire professional career has been involved with all kinds of people and the most successful are those that know how to communicate, lead, an interact with those they come in contact with. My wife Julie, a Third Grade Teacher, and I strongly believe in him as he is a top of the line surgeon, he is that personal care professional that leads you to believe he is part of us. His mannerism, composure, honesty, and compassion, even though is relatively new, is reassuring for hope and success with what is in our future. I am from the "old school" of human relations and he is a true and honest replication of those times. We need more people like him in our culture today. He brings so much more than what I have said. Please consider him in your time of need, you will not regret it.
