Three years later after hip replacement not one issue, even after 2 years of skiing and mountain biking

I had my right hip replaced by dr. Russso on aug 2 2023, So far everything has gone great. My recovery is going well and the pain level after surgery is there but minimal. Its been six weeks and I am happy that I found Dr. Russo. I would reccomend him highly.

Personable is not the same as professional. If you wish to wait hours in a waiting room for a scheduled appointment where he takes 5 minutes, where he wants his surgery fees upfront before operating and waiting to get paid from a BC/BS EOB (Explanation of Benefits), if you want rude staff, then this is the doctor for you. The LAST surgeon I would ever wish to operate on me!!

Dr. Russo took time to explain my x-rays and an area of concern. The time to get in and out was quick. I have recommended him to one of my friends.

I was really not sure that I wanted to visit Matthew (son) after a couple of visits with his father (Vincent). At those visits, he would look at an xray, tell me I needed a new knee and schedule it when the pain became unbearable. Never even examined my joint on my last visit. I just wasn't convinced it was a knee joint issue, as I have been working out in the gym with pain on the side of my knee but not in the joint itself. Well, after listening, reading my history AND getting me on the table to assess the problem, he actually agreed that it looked like a possible problem with the IT band and not the joint itself. He gave me a referral for a PT eval and dry needling. AT LAST, I felt like we would work together to figure this out and not just jump to surgery. Very happy with Dr. Russo's calm, caring nature and taking the time to answer all my questions. Too bad I had to wait 4mos. for an appt. He needs to stop taking new patients, especially now that his father is retiring.

I love that Dr. Matt is so personal, besides being a fellow Italian ! He allowed my Dr. Daughter to join in with an audio visit & thorougly answered all of our questions. He is professional, kind, patient & communicated in a most informative manner. He suggested both hip replacements due to arthritic issues but to start with hip injections with Smile & back injections with Dr. Lee along with continued PT. I trust his advice & will look forward to surgery when he deems necessary. I am truly grateful to be in such good hands.

Everything about my visit was flawless. No wait time, very quick, x-rays, and a nice long discussion with Dr. Russo. He took the time to explain things, answered my questions, and offered several options.

His staff was friendly and on time. Dr. Russo communicated very well and answered all my questions.

Dr. Matt replaced both my knees (one in July 2022 and the other in November 2022). Along with thorough explanations of the process, he provided a significant amount of information to prepare me for surgery, post-surgery pain management, and then a detailed plan for recovery. His staff is supportive, accessible, and highly competent. Dr. Matt's surgical skill and knowledge, and my complete commitment to the recovery process, resulted in two terrific outcomes!!

Dr. M. Russo showed great care and concern for my R & L hip pain. He reviewed X-Rays with me and discussed recommendations. Questions were asked and answered and information provided treatment plan options. Dr. Russo showed care and concern throughout my visit. In 2019, Dr. M. Russo performed a total right knee replacement for me. Therefore, it was obvious that I would return to him for my hip problems.

Dr Matthew Russo gave me a new knee 8 months ago and I’m doing amazingly well! So we’ll that my brother came from LA to have him do his knee replacement surgery! And my brother is using only a cane after only 4 days! I cannot praise him enough!
