Dismissive, disrespectful. NEVER AGAIN
Following a ureteroscopy procedure I experienced significant pain. I was told by Dr. Sheldon’s nurse that my pain was “ psychosomatic”.As a retired RN I am appalled by the flippant and disrespectful response to the pain that I reported. It is arrogance to assume that you know what someone else’s pain is. I had requested a medication to control the pain for the follow up stent removal process. Instead of a pain medication I received a prescription for an anxiety medication…not a medication for pain control. If the pain is under control then for me there is no anxiety. Pain control was always first in my practice as an RN but perhaps not so much with Dr. Sheldon’s office.Additionally the practice is extremely busy. It is difficult to get someone to answer the telephone and there are often extended periods of time waiting in the lobby to be seen. Many of the staff are curt and unfriendly.I will be going elsewhere if I am unfortunate enough to have the need of a urologist again.

Bad doctor
Messed up a procedure on my father, my father was bleeding profusely for weeks afterward. Now things happen, we understand. But during all this he was impossible to get a hold of, like he was ducking us. Took him forever to call us back as my father was bleeding out and we were calling the office for help, if he called us back at all. He was dismissive and vague in explaining what happened and was in no way concerned. Eventually we had to ambulance my father to the hospital to stop the bleeding and get a blood transfusion all from the procedure sheldon put him through. This guy doesnt care about his patients and is not a skilled surgeon, stay away. He seems nice at first but when the chips are down he will leave you hanging in the wind. He is an empty white coat.

Dr and staff do not listen to patient concerns
Surgery to remove prostate. Post-surgery, instead of daily improvements I experienced daily decline. I was unable to stand up and walk. 3 days after surgery I had an appointment to remove drain. Ihad to be wheeled in a wheelchair because I could not stand up. Continued decline, my phone calls were dismissed. Finally after 7 days I got to a standing position but could not move at all. We had to call 911 and go to the hospital, where after 6 days they diagnosed that during my surgery the surgeon had perforated my colon and poisons were circulating through my body. This resulted in a colostomy and several surgeries to clear the poisons out of my body. I spent 6 weeks in the hospital and 4 more weeks in rehab.
