Overrated
I agree with the reviewer who said he’s a B doctor, maybe C. He talks about patients within earshot! He’s their poster child because of his disabilities, but rated on his abilities, he’s not impressive. Average. Staff are even worse! Not professional and sometimes blatantly rude!

Dr. Silvis is one of the most awesome doctors our family has had the privilege to interact with and be treated by thru Penn State Hershey Medical Practices. My 4 children each had their favorite primary care doctor and Dr. Silvis cared for youngest child who is now 18. She was a competitive gymnast with multiple medical issues he cared for, not only as a primary care physician but also as her sports medicine doctor. Dr. Silvis is indeed kind, professional, caring, beyond genius in his profession and specialties. We are so thankful and blessed that Dr. Silvis has allowed our family to be his patients.

I love this doctor!! I have been going to him for over 13 years and he also sees my daughter with Special Needs. He always takes care to listen and help in any way he can for her and for that I am ever grateful! Wonderful, caring, and overall good person. I recommend him to anyone. He's one of the few that genuinely listen.

I have been a patient of Dr. Silvis for approximately ten years. He is an excellent doctor. I have many medical issues and he follows me very closely. He has no hesitation in sending me for tests or to see a specialist if the need arises but, at the same time, does not write me a prescription and send me on my way. He is always patient, professional, courteous, and attentive. He listens to what I have to say. He treats me as an individual, not as a set of symptoms. Highly recommend.

Dr Silvis is a B- doctor. His staff however rates an F. Their failure to call in prescriptions at all, their failure to call in the correct prescriptions, their failure to send and receive communications from and to the doctor, their absolute gall in telling me neither they nor the doctor ever make mistakes, all add up to their failure as a professional staff. Seek an alternative.
