Dr. Steele and his entire staff was & is exponentially better than being treated by my former general practitioner. He’s very bright, quick & highly skilled and responds to your specific needs & for me my life has improved expodentially since meeting & starting with him just a couple months ago! I was excited to find a 5 star Dr. & now I can’t praise him enough. So thankful! And very highly recommend him for anything in urology!

Dr Steele is patient with his patients. He quickly grasps questions and is accepting of perhaps innovative treatment because he is well informed about his area of medicine. When I asked him about a treatment that I had read about, he was already knowledgable and in my case acceptable to the treatment which was very effective. He is of course very busy but he has a sense of humor and is aware of the real world. I apreciate him.

Dr. Steele has been extraordinary in treating my husband with a diagnosis of testicular cancer. Visits were prompt, as were test results, surgery, and follow up. Communication was rapid and we felt thoroughly informed through out the process. We would recommend his care to anyone facing the same challenge.

After suffering issues with bladder prolapse over two years, I consulted Dr. Steele for his recommendation. He explained various options and which he felt would provide the greatest benefits for me. He performed a robotic-assisted sacrocolpopexy immediately following a hysterectomy by a fellow colleague. After complying with post-surgery and recovery instructions, I have experienced no complications and feel great! Dr. Steele as well as the nurses and staff of Athens Area Urology are very knowledgeable, efficient, friendly and compassionate. Dr. Matthew Steele is excellent in all ways. He is thorough, caring, and very patient with questions and explanations of situations and options. I was in extreme urinary distress and he somehow quickly and compassionately squeezed me into his booked surgery schedule for TURP surgery.
