Dr. Matthew Surburg, MD

Dr Surburg takes time to listen to me. He is very thorough in everything from reviewing my meds, discussing my vitals and making sure my questions are answered. He addresses all of my concerns with care and concern. He’s kind and courteous. I’m so glad I decided to choose him as my PCP. Highly recommended.

I have been with Dr Surburg for 8 years, after preceeding him by Dr H, and Dr J in the Hancock Health Network, who in my opinion is operating on a shoestring. I mean after seeing all of the experienced Drs going away from HC, well if you want better, go to Southport and you will see the differance in your treatment!!..Thanks Dr Surburg for making this guy healthy again!!!

My visit was on time and complete and yet Dr Surburg still gave me plenty of time to ask all the questions I had. He was thorough and very clear in his responses. Would especially be good with a young family.

Dr. Surburg, My wife Penny and I have moved from the Greenfield, IN area to the south side of Indianapolis. We are sad to say we are leaving the Hancock County Network. We will have to leave you as a family doctor. We are sad! Want you to know that the very first time I met you as a new patient. I was very stressed as a teacher and depressed from fighting a long teaching battle. I walked into your office sat down with you and said, "I think I need to consider retirement. Your response was classic to me. You said, " I can help you with that." We talked a little and examined my stomach, where I was hurting and having swallowing problems. I went on a short medical leave and never returned to the classroom. I have never regreted that. I have told so many people about the experience that day in your office. First meeting ever. You were always kind and concerned on every visit to your office. I respect you and thank you for being our family doctor.

My family and I have been coming to Dr. Surburg for over a decade. We drive over 40 miles round trip to see him, but I wouldn't take my family anywhere else. He is kind, sincerely compassionate, and beyond professional.

I was very well taken care of. Dr. Surburg provides excellent professional and courteous care. He listens to what you have say, he explains why and how you should take your medicine. I like that he washes his hands before and after examination. If you have any problems you can call the office and get right in. He's very friendly and concerned about your health, I would highly recommend him.

We are so pleased with the care Dr. Surburg provides for my husband and myself. He never rushes us during our visits and makes time to hear all of our health concerns. He strikes a warm relationship with his patients and is able to make one feel very comforted during visits. He is cautious not to prescribe medications without thorough tests and examinations to determine to the cause of ones symptoms. We are blessed to have him as our family doctor.
