Pleasantly surprised
I was inpatient at MUSC with an overdraining brain shunt. Dr Triano was very pleasant, listened to my concerns and addressed them. I would be happy to have him as my Dr if I am in MUSC again.

Zero bedside manner, or care and concern
I was seen in the ED, and I honestly couldn’t believe how disrespectful, rude and downright toddler like Dr. Triano’s behavior was. Completely dismissed my concerns and my pain, when I asked to see previous scans to compare to current, and asked for some literature to help me understand where the decision that there was no treatment for my issue was based from, he told me he had “70 more patients that are actually sick to get to”, so he couldn’t spend 20 mins talking to me to explain himself. He then stormed out of my room, slammed the door walked past my ED resident Doctor, and she told me that when she asked him to stop and let her know what was discussed he walked right past her and didn’t even speak. I am truly appalled by this childish behavior, versus care and concern to help figure out how come up with a plan to help a patient out of pain.
