Dr. Matthew Young, MD

I went in to see him for issues related to a car accident. He belittled me, spoke down to me and refused to do an exam of my injury. He said he had everything he needed from my old scans. When I told him they told me to come back in if it was still there and that's what I was doing he said it wasn't an emergency and refused to even look at the area that was injured. He then left. He did not even do an exam or look at the injury. He later wrote in his notes that did an exam which was a lie. He literally did NOTHING. Please, no one should be seen by this doctor. Ask before entering the ER if he is the doctor that is in and if he is do yourself a favor and go to a different ER he won't help you.

Terrible ER Doctor refused to check out any of my concerns. Dismissive and talked down to me.

Was very rude to my wife and wouldn’t listen to her concerns. At one point he said “we’re an emergency room it isn’t our job to figure things out”…He doesn’t care about helping people but I’m sure he cares about the $$$ he makes off of people. I can’t believe Wakemed would employ someone as unprofessional as Matthew Young

Not an honest human at all.

I was treated by him and he was rude. He talked down to me not realizing I have College Degrees too. He also diagnosed me with Narcotic Dependence because I was in alot of pain. Bad representation of the medical field.

Refused to help my boyfriend even though my boyfriend had just been released from the hospital 4 days earlier.

Misdiagnosed my Mom at the ER. Most horrible doctor experience we have ever had. Very unprofessional - needs to go back o medical school!
