She is an excellent physician . She was emphatic and patient with me . She listened even though she did not agree with the treatment I was requesting . She explained the pros and cons of- and validated my concerns .

Excellent doctor
Dr. Alvarado was pleasant, knowledgeable, professional and very thorough.I never felt rushed.She took her time going over my bloodwork line by line. She gave excellent advice on how to improve a couple of numbers which were out of range.Excellent doctor.

There 5 tests to be done for thyroid issues Free T3Free T4Reverse T3TPOTGBThe last two Dr Maureen Alvarado might need to go to school to know about them. She refused to recommend these tests to my mother and denied a referral to endocrinologist. Mediocre doctor with zero knowledge and to top it off recommended a psychiatrist to my mother. Wanna improve your health clinic, lay off Dr Alvarado or send her to a mental institution

Dr. Alvarado now practices in San Antonio, Texas. My primary care doctor for two years now, she is one of the best doctors I've ever had: thorough in her examination, a good communicator, and a good listener. I've been very happy with her and her staff and highly recommend her.

If you want a cookie cutter doctor, someone that doles out medicine from a textbook, prescribing the same for everyone… you found your doctor. If you want to maintain your own health and look for the best options for you as an individual, then this doctor is NOT for you. I wanted to monitor my own blood glucose multiple times a day and was told it wasn’t necessary and my “numbers” were fine. Until my blood glucose is within a normal range, then my “numbers” are NOT fine.
