Dr. Maurice Chianese, MD

Always amazing. Dr. Chianese - from Day 1 - has always exhibited my favorite characteristics in a doctor: takes time with us, and never rushes an appointment; answers ALL our questions, usually supported with an insightful answer backed by research; respectful to us adults and our children, the patients; truly knows how to relate to children; knowledgeable; never allows for alarm, and very calming; the list goes on… I wish I could find a doctor for myself that possessed these traits.

Had an appointment yesterday August 18, 2020 @ 4:30PM. I have been coming to Dr. Chianese since my baby was born July 4, 2019. The staff there is atrocious and horrendous. Would highly recommend to go elsewhere. 2 months ago called to schedule an appt for my baby for a routine checkup. Staff claim to be booked up for 2 months. Make an appt two months later for August 18, 2020 @4:30pm. As I'm driving to the location to see my baby's pediatrician Dr Chianese, my wife is calling them to let them know we're running 15 min late driving all the way from Downtown Brooklyn. On the phone for 40 min (on hold). No one picked up. They finally call us back 4:45 (2 min as we're walking in) and tell us the doctor won't see us because we're 15 min late. The staff is rude, disrespectful, and disgusting. I'm 15 min late, the audacity of this place to say, the doctor can't see you now because we're booked (translation, u have crappy insurance '1199', we need to reschedule you). Place is pack

Excellent doctor! Extremely knowledgeable. He takes the time to sit and speak to you and does not rush you out. I wouldn’t see anyone else but him.

Awful experience with the front desk. Luckily, we learned quickly that we'd be just a number at their office and left even before our first visit. Our infant was not yet "active" on her insurance policy and we were unable to reach customer service due to MLK day. They refused to see us unless we paid $500 for the first office visit which, according to them, would take months to recoup once all was figured out with the insurance co. Office refused to work with us on a solution. Won't be returning

He's a great doctor! But he's overbooked! We only get to see him once every year. He's never around for sick appointments. So we always end up seeing another doctor, who have misdiagnosed symptoms on my son. It's very unfortunate that such a great doctor is so out of reach to his patients. :( We are switching pediatricians because of it. FYI stay away from Dr. Satin she's the worst.
