Dr. Mauricio Jalife Bucay, MD

He was our third rotating hospitalist at San Francisco St Mary's Hospital and finally the first to hear our concerns, get some clear answers, and advocate for our mom. He is a shining example of why one becomes a doctor, full of empathy and care. We are so grateful for him!

Dr. Bucay is an incredible doctor. The first time I have felt truly listened to and cared for through this entire struggle. I have been fighting with an unknown illness which has been causing me chronic, intense and unrelenting pain for 6 months now. He listened to me, gave me literally every test in the book and provided me with referrals to get further checked by pain management doctors as well as tests to try and discover where my symptoms are coming from. I'm so glad that I found him as a doctor. Einstein is incredibly lucky to have him as a doctor. Compared to my experience at some larger university hospitals in the area, I am thoroughly impressed.

I had my first visit recently with Dr. Bucay and I had an amazing experience he was easy to talk to, really helpful, really patient with me and is really knowledgeable . I would recommend him to any of my friends and family . Thank you very much I defiantly will come back .

The best doctor ever. I've been a patient of his for the past 2 years, and without a doubt, I don't regret making him my primary physician. He answers all of my questions, makes sure that my medications are sent directly to the pharmacy, and that I leave with any referrals that I may need during my visit; and if I ever have an issue with a medication being covered he offers an alternative or tries to get to the bottom of the issue. 5-star provider, for sure!

There isn't much that I can really say about how Wonderful this doctor truly is. Great mannerisms, always takes his time when explaining the plan of action when it comes to taking care of my health.

Best decision that I’ve ever made in choosing a primary care physician. Dr.Jalife-Bucay has amazing bedside manner, knowledgeable in his craft of medicine yet relatable when explaining diagnoses, treatment plans. He’s helped me maintain a healthy blood pressure, has kept me on track with my A1C among other things. All in all, HE’S AMAZING!!!

kind, caring, listens and knows his stuff

One of the best decisions I took for my health was to switch primary care to be seen by Dr. Jalife. Now, I have a controlled blood pressure and my Diabetes finally is at goal. He is an example of intelligence and humbleness, and most importantly, he never looses a smile. Takes time to explain my problems in details. Thanks

Dr Jalife is EXCEPTIONAL! HE TOOK the time to EXPLAIN my disease! I am a chronic diabetic, and he has been the first Dr to really care. This is a medical system that is not built for patient and Dr relation, and despite that, he is AMAZING ON BUILDING A REALTION with his patients. Thank you always Dr. Jalife you have saved my life!
