Incompetent, dismissive, and creepy. Beware.
I went to Dr. Colavita at 22 because I began experiencing pain while wearing tampons. He dismissed my concerns and said “Eh, some women just can't wear tampons.' He proceeded to rush into an exam that caused me great pain, then leaned in and whispered 'The first time you have sex, it's going to hurt a lot.' I left the appointment crying and bleeding.Gynecology exams are some of the most vulnerable experiences for women. This visit was so upsetting that I avoided going to an OBGYN for 4 years. When I finally visited a new OBGYN, I explained my pain and she immediately began assessing me for vaginismus. This condition is not uncommon, and gets worse if untreated and if additional trauma is endured. My new gyno took me seriously when Dr. Colavita dismissed me, and she carried out a gentle exam with patience and care when Dr. Colavita was careless and rough. Not only did I endure 4 extra years of pain, but I believe my experience with Dr. Colavita ultimately made my condition worse.

This “doctor” is rude, disrespectful and degrading to his staff, and fake with his patients. Beware!

Makes me feel uncomfortable
The office staff is great. The MA is great. My problem is with the Dr. He just made me feel uncomfortable. Hugging me whilst I'm half naked. Saying inappropriate things. All in all I wouldn't go back to a Dr that is too touchy feely

Dr colavita is an excellent doctor, very experienced. He has taken care of every minute needs throughout my pregnancy. He has great skills in dealing patients. Overall I would say he is one of the beat doctors I have ever seen.

Dr.Colavita is one of the best gynecologists out there. He is down to earth, kind, and compassionate. He is very professional and patient friendly and non judgmental. His staff is great.

Dr. Colavita has a wonderful personality, is truly compassionate and caring, and has the best bedside manner you could ask for. He takes his time to listen, he encourages questions, never judges, and makes each appointment all about you. When it comes time for getting the job done, he is focused, skillful, professional and his results are greater than expected. I highly recommend Dr. Colavita

Great doctor as well as person. He makes you feel welcome, comfortable and knowledgeable about what he's doing and why as well as your diagnosis. I've been a patient for 6 years and 3 deliveries and 4 pregnancies.
