Dr. Luxemburg was in the room with us an adequate amount of time but he spoke very fast and didn't listen to all the concerns my son had. My son tried to explain but the Dr spoke over him and didn't hear what he was trying to say. I attempted to explain as well and he didn't listen to me either. We were the last appointment (I believe) on a Friday and it felt like we were being rushed out the door. We will not go back to that office and only went there because our original appointment was cancelled by the Bloomfield office and my son needed his physical for school sports.

I have seen Dr Luxenberg a few times and every time it has been the same service. I will refuse to see him going forward and will wait for other doctors to be available.

Unprofessional and rude
My wife took my son with concerns my son’s double ear infection was coming back. My son has a complex medical history at 2 years old with multiple heart surgeries due to heterotaxy and also is on antibiotics twice a day for polysplenia. This man was disrespectful towards my wife telling her maybe we shouldn’t schedule unnecessary appointments. My son is difficult at the doctors office as he spent months of his life in the hospital. He was loud and mildly rough with my son. And based on what I have read about this man I’m not sure how he is a pediatrician let alone a doctor.

Would not recommend
I would not recommend Dr. Luxemburg. He is very forceful during check ups. He also yelled at my child that all he asked her to do was ‘lay back and look pretty’ which I felt was inappropriate.

Every time I get scheduled with this dr it is a waste of my time and either my child will continue to be sick (he never thinks it is necessary to schedule follow ups either it seems) and I need to come back or he will dismiss the problem I am there for. When I was having very painful breastfeeding issues he told me to wash my nipple with soap and water every time the baby fed! That is horrible advice as it would further crack and dried the nipple, not to mention the baby was eating every 1-2 hrs. I would have spent half of my maternity leave washing my boobs! I am so thankful this advice was giving to me, a second time mom who knew better than a first time mother. I suggested he check the mouth for a tongue tie and he dismissed me and literally rolled his eyes. I went for a second opinion at the same practice, they had my child evaluated for a tie, it was clipped and immediately after I never had a breast feeding issue. This man is rude, inappropriate, and an all out jerk.

Love Dr. Luxemburg. He has been with my son since the day my son had his stroke and was great about following up with me, taking the time to answer all my questions. My son really has a difficult time with doctors and Dr. Luxemburg takes his time to ensure my son is fine. He was also great with both my girls.

As a first time mom, I need to feel okay with asking questions. I felt uncomfortable with any feedback. I was told nipple confusion was something lactation consultants make up. Everyone else is great.

Absolutely horrible Doctor. I have been to everyone in the practice and he is the only one I have an issue with. His misdiagnosed my oldest daughter THREE times, two of which ended her in the hospital later on. He also told me with my youngest that breastmilk and formula are the same thing. Did he even go to medical school?! My 7 year old feels very uncomfortable around him, and he rushes through appointments.
